Highly recommended for longer stays! We stayed at Ying’n’Flo for three weeks, and we really appreciated the additional space compared to other HK hotels at this price point. Daily housekeeping was great to keep towels and amenities fresh. Furnishings were spartan, but perfectly adequate for daily living if you’re not looking for something fancy. The hotel’s location slightly up a steep slope does pose some accessibility challenges, but is offset by its proximity to downtown Wanchai and its relative quiet. Thank you to Ying’n’Flo for being exactly what we needed!

If you are looking for something different from the usual stuffiness and formality of a hotel, look no further! Ying'nFlo is a serviced apartment which really feels like a home away from home. Location: I stayed at the Wan Chai branch which is really well located - 5 minutes walk from Wan Chai MTR; lots of good food in the area (including the very famous Samsen, and all the eats along Lee Tung Street); and several tourist attractions in the vicinity (Blue House; Wan Chai Market). The neighbourhood is quiet, and safe. Rooms and Amenities: Absolutely comfortable, well maintained, and clean. Amenities include a fridge, washer-dryer (very handy!) and induction cooktop. Mattress was on the firm side which I liked. There is a lounge on the ground floor, as well as an open air balcony to chill out, eat, or smoke. Service: Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Checking in and checking out were hassle-free and smooth. Two caveats which I ought to mention, but did not in any way affect the lovely stay I had: (1) The bathroom is pretty compact and the shower is fairly narrow. I did not have any problems, but heftier people might find it to be a tight squeeze (2) The property is located on a fairly steep slope (Wan Chai Gap Road) - not disability friendly and also not easy if one has large or heavy luggage and is coming by foot. Fortunately, it's not a long walk uphill and not an issue with a taxi.

The room was not new new, in a sense that I could easily spot worn outs and asked for a change a few times m. Luckily that most staff were helpful and kind which made the process smooth. Location-wise, it’s located on a slope with no directly accessible public transport, and needed a few minutes walk after taking off from the main road. Wont be a problem at all if you are not carrying overtly heavy stuff or with any rainy weather (oops).

I stayed here during cyclone Wipha, and unfortunately the experience was underwhelming due to both the weather and the hotel’s challenging location. The property is situated on a very steep hill off Queen’s Road East, and reaching the entrance requires an additional climb followed by several stairs. In heavy rain, this became not only inconvenient but unsafe. The biggest issue was the hotel’s main entrance, which lacks any overhead cover. Worse still, the sloped roofing design causes rainwater from surrounding buildings to pour directly onto the entryway, meaning I was completely drenched just trying to check in—despite the rain not being particularly heavy at the time. That said, there were a few redeeming features. I chose this hotel because the room sizes were noticeably larger than others in the same price range, and the inclusion of a washing machine with built-in dryer as well as a kitchenette made it ideal for longer stays. While the room I stayed in did not appear to be recently renovated, it was clean and well laid out, with a spacious worktable area that I found quite useful. The service at the front entrance was polite and adequate, and the hotel offered a modest breakfast of pastries and fruit near the lobby, along with a basic coffee machine, which was a nice touch. It was
