Loved this hotel. The room was small but that’s to be expected in NYC. It had everything we needed and was still cute. Location is great but as it’s so central just bring ear plugs -again to be expected! The rooftop bar is a must visit and we didn’t make it to the speakeasy but I would imagine it would have been great. Also wanted to give a special shoutout to Kayla on the front desk who was so helpful and kind, she made the check in/out experience stress free so thank you!

While in town to celebrate our son's wedding, we had an excellent stay at Walker Hotel. Though the rooms were snug, it met all our needs perfectly and the location was exactly what we needed. The rooftop bar was a bonus! Special note to John in the hotel restaurant who assisted in helping us host the wedding brunch. He helped make the day special. Thank you!

The hotel has 3 great places for cocktails: an Instagram-ready flower themed rooftop, a sleek restaurant bar, and a dimly-lit and sexy speakeasy. The rooftop bar has attentive service and delicious cocktails. I got something with coconut and was a little tipsy after 1 drink. A server offered to take my picture and it honestly turned out SO adorable that it's one of my favorite pictures now! Great place to start the evening before leaving the hotel. The speakeasy in the basement is great for a date, but not recommended for a group since it's small. The live music was perfect; you could still hear your date talking. The cocktails were surprisingly chic and inventive. It's a great place to end the evening to bookend the night. The hotel is located in a way that makes it easy to get around; we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The rooms are small, but efficient. They lack shelving or storage, which is a bit difficult, but typical for the area. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was very glad we stayed here.

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 AM on July 26. We had booked the room for July 25 specifically to ensure we could check in right away upon our late arrival. The front desk staff member who checked us in was extremely rude and unprofessional. She literally told us, “Don’t speak your language since you’re in America,” and claimed we “don’t understand the laws.” When I asked about the charges, she refused to explain and said, “I don’t have to explain, this isn’t your first time staying in a hotel.” She then aggressively told us, “If you don’t like not speaking English, go wait outside until the morning shift,” which was basically kicking us out of the hotel. By what rule or law can you throw paying guests out in the middle of the night? The only reason we stayed was because it was too late and we had already paid a lot for the booking. We had followed all hotel rules and behaved respectfully, yet she called us “troublemakers” for no reason. She raised her voice, acted arrogantly, and gave us disrespectful looks. Her attitude was completely unprofessional and unacceptable for someone working in hospitality. This was by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, and I will never stay here again.
