Vibe Hotel Hobart is located in the heart of the city, under 10 minutes’ walk from the waterfront. Stroll to the harbour, where the Salamanca Market buzzes with tourists and locals every Saturday, or catch the ferry from Constitution Dock to MONA, Hobart’s most eclectic art gallery, home to interactive exhibitions, fine dining and even a winery. Vibe Hotel Hobart is a brand-new addition to Tassie’s capital that’s proud of its past. Formerly the Belvedere Ballroom, this iconic spot lets history live on through its onsite Belvedere restaurant, a beautiful homage to the building’s roots. Dine on delicious local produce here as you take in nostalgic Art Deco touches and walls adorned with sepia snaps of dance hall revellers.
While it retains its heritage features, modern comfort is key at Vibe. Head up to the fifth floor, where the heated swimming pool offers a place to unwind and take in views across the city towards the harbour. The contemporary rooms and suites take design inspiration from the sea and sandstone cliffs of Bruny Island, with all furniture lovingly created by local craftspeople.
