Beautiful setting, incredible food, warm staff - but falls short on professionalism. We stayed at Tokoriki for our honeymoon and had a lovely time. The setting is stunning - an infinity pool overlooking turquoise waters and nearby islands (including the one from "Cast Away"). What stood out: 1) The food - absolutely exceptional. Every meal was packed with flavour, beautifully balanced, and the menu changes daily. 2) The staff - warm, friendly, always smiling, welcoming with a family feel (e.g. they make an effort to know you by name). Now the downsides. 1) The rooms were comfortable but basic for the price and “5-star” label. Showers were standard, beach towels felt cheap, and the gym was bare (one treadmill and a couple of machines). 2) Despite the staff’s kindness, the service was consistently sloppy: forgotten drinks, missed room service, wrong orders, meals brought out at the wrong time... It didn’t happen once — it happened at almost every meal. We left with great memories, but for the price, a few key things need improvement.

Spa experience was overall very average. We had a 60 min couples massage. Let me start by saying the massage itself was quite good and I would say it was above 8/10. Now the downsides. First, they do not give any water or tea on arrival or after treatment. This is odd for any luxury spa given the price point they charge. Second, the service felt very cold and unwelcoming. This might be because we were staying at the Sheraton next door but is no excuse. If you're welcoming paying guests from the Sheraton, don't treat them as second class citizens. Third, they don't even offer slippers or a proper robe, this felt very odd. Fourth, it felt like we were on a conveyer belt and they wanted us in and out of the spa as quick as possible. This is not how a luxury spa works and there needs to be some level of attention to detail. It feels like the spa is mismanaged when there are actually some highly trained therapists that are working hard and the overall experience could be up leveled quite easily by the small touches. Fijian culture normally has a lot of warmth but we unfortunately didn't feel it at this spa.
