The Ungasan Clifftop Resort is perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu on the Bukit Peninsula, Bali’s most southern point. It sits above Sundays Beach Club, one of the island’s most prolific all-day spots for lounging by the ocean with a cocktail or exploring the lagoon with complimentary use of paddleboards, kayaks and snorkelling gear. A little further afield sit some of the island’s best surf breaks, beaches and cultural marvels, including the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple – just a short drive away.

Villa 110 is a true gem — the only one-bedroom villa perched directly on a clifftop with a private infinity pool and a view that’s simply beyond imagination. It feels like you’re floating above the ocean, with total privacy and uninterrupted beauty. The hotel itself is stunning, with shared infinity pools, a well-equipped gym, and a tennis court. One of the standout features is the private teleferic that takes you straight down to the beach — no effort needed. As a hotel guest, you also get your own sunbed at the Sunday Beach Club, complimentary. The beach is honestly one of the best in Bali, and possibly the world — clean, soft white sand, and crystal-clear water. Between 11 am and 3 pm, the water glows in vibrant shades that feel more like the Bahamas than Bali. Then around 4 pm, the tide goes out and the beach transforms — almost like you're in a different place entirely. It’s magical. Service is exceptional, with your own butler available on WhatsApp to handle everything. It truly feels like a bespoke hotel experience rather than a typical resort — intimate, highly personalized.

This was our second trip to The Ungasan and it was amazing as usual. Perfect for lots of kids and friends. The villas are a slice of paradise and Sundays feels like your own private beach club. More friends arrived later in the week for a birthday celebration which the team arranged on the clifftop with live music and great food from the onsite restaurants. We also had a couple of fully catered in-villa parties which was really impressive and seamless. The whole team are so welcoming and friendly and no request is too hard. We travel regularly as a family and this is our favourite place!

This was the second time my family has stayed at The Ungasan, and will definitely not be the last. The villas are all beautifully designed and make you feel like you’re in paradise. I never wanted to leave. The service is beyond amazing, with every staff member always smiling, making you feel at home and always making sure you have anything and everything you need. Highly recommend!

This resort was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Tamarama, and it was beautiful—truly stunning. The pools were fabulous, and the rooms were not only gorgeous but also incredibly comfortable. A very special mention goes to our butler, Arya. He was kind, attentive, and simply amazing. He anticipated our every need and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We felt so well taken care of and appreciated his lovely and helpful nature. Highly recommend!
