The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok

This resort is a true gem of Southeast Asia. Every detail is impeccably cared for — I’ve rarely seen such attention and perfection anywhere else. The size of the resort allows for beautiful walks along the beach or through the gardens. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you might need. The staff is amazing — always kind, smiling, and genuinely helpful. The food was excellent at every meal — breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all of outstanding quality. The Oberoi Lombok is, without a doubt, the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed in.

Our stay at The Oberoi, Lombok was nothing short of exceptional. We stayed in a Luxury Ocean View Villa, which felt like our own private sanctuary. You enter through a secluded courtyard surrounded by flowers and ponds with fish, leading to a sun-lounger area and private outdoor dining space. The villa itself was spacious, traditionally designed and immaculately maintained. We liked the his-and-hers wardrobe and bathroom areas, and the incredible sunken marble bathtub was great. The food throughout our stay was outstanding. The highlight was a private dinner in the Herb Garden with a tasting menu, every course was perfect and the chef and team even surprised us with a birthday cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The attention to detail and warmth from the staff made the evening unforgettable. We also enjoyed plenty of activities; snorkelling around the coastline in the clear waters and a sunset cruise off the Lombok and Gilli Islands coast were both incredible experiences. The pearl farm excursion is well worth doing too. The tour lasts about an hour, is run by locals (though Australian-owned), and gives a great insight into the local process and impact it has. From start to finish, the staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. Every detail was thought of and nothing was ever too much trouble for the team. WhatsApp conversations with the Concierge and Reception team made any changes or requests get processed smoothly and without disruption. The Oberoi Lombok truly embodies world-class hospitality and is the perfect destination for relaxation, luxury, and unforgettable memories.

One of the best experiences I had in Asia and the best in Lombok without a doubt. The tranquility of this villa is impressive. The service is one of its highlights: privacy in the rooms, views of the sea and incredible sunsets. The restaurant deserves a Michelin star. They pay attention to every detail. It's been a long time since I've seen such good service. Congratulations, thank you for everything. I will definitely return.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at in terms of service and customer experience. The team have thought of everything. Not only this but there are so many lovely free additions here - a coconut every day, afternoon tea every day, a 60 min Balinese massage during your stay, homemade sorbets everyday, little sun creams by your sunbeds, biscuits by your bed at night. All of the staff are really wonderful and chatty and helpful. Nothing is too much to ask and they are all an absolute asset to the resort. We did two tours through the hotel - the snorkelling to the gili islands and the waterfalls trip. Both were great and we had a brilliant time and would recommend both. If you’re looking for a relaxing hotel with wonderful staff and amazing 5 star service, this is the place to stay. Hopefully we will be back one day!
