The Meritage Resort and Spa sprawls over 36 acres and is perfectly situated in the heart of Napa Valley, offering easy access to the wine country’s best attractions, including renowned wineries and gourmet dining destinations. The historic Napa Valley Wine Train experience and the vibrant Oxbow Public Market are within a 10-minute drive.

The resort is an hour’s drive from San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Airport transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

Valid for travel from 1 October 2024 until 31 August 2025 (bookings must be made before 31 May 2025).

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

  • Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
  • The dining credit is valid on food and drinks ordered at Olive & Hay, Fivetown Grocery, Commons Bar, Ember Steak, Blend Café, the pool bar and in-room dining. Food and drinks must be charged back to your guest account for credit to be utilised.
  • The wine-tasting experience occurs at Commons Bar and includes up to three wines in a tasting flight.
  • One-time spa credit of US$100 per package must be charged back to your guest account for credit to be utilised.

Gourmet Express Lunch aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train Inclusions & Fine Print

  • Includes: A three-hour train journey featuring a gourmet multi-course meal, travelling from Napa to St. Helena and back.
  • Valid for two adults.
  • Departure times: Check-in at 10.30am. Boarding at 11am. Train departs at 11.30am; returns at 2.30pm.
  • Departure point: 1275 McKinstry Street.
  • Please email reservations@winetrain.com with your name and Luxury Escapes Booking ID to reserve the date and time of your experience.
  • Napa Valley Wine Train will respond to you within three business days to confirm.
  • A minimum of 14 days advance notice is required to avoid payment forfeiture.
  • Cancellations within 14 days of departure, late arrivals and no-shows incur a 100% cancellation fee and no refunds apply.

We had a lovely stay at this place. The room was clean, well-maintained, and the complimentary bottle of wine was such a thoughtful touch — it made our arrival feel extra special. We spent time relaxing at the adult pool, which was a great for unwinding and hanging out. The on-site restaurant, Olive & Hay, looked amazing, but it was fully booked during our visit, so I’d definitely recommend making reservations in advance if you plan to dine there. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend!

The resort offers many amenities. I enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa. It is a very busy place, seems to host a lot now conventions. One being held during our stay. I would say there are 2 areas of concerns; the check in process is very chaotic. There seems to be a need to find a better way to check in many patrons when check in for everyone is at one time. The other; pricing. Many areas/items are so overly priced, especially at the "store/deli" and the coffee shop.

Updated Review 07/22/25: Meritage Resort and Spa Overall, Meritage Resort and Spa delivers a high-quality experience with standout elements—especially in dining and housekeeping. The bar and restaurant service is truly exceptional—arguably the best we’ve encountered at any hotel or resort 🍸. Staff at both venues were attentive, welcoming, and made every meal a highlight. The food and drinks were equally impressive, blending quality ingredients with thoughtful preparation. The rooms exceeded expectations: spacious, modern, and immaculately clean. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work and maintained a high standard throughout the stay 🧼. That said, the front desk experience fell short. Check-in was slow and not particularly welcoming, likely due to a lack of proper training or staffing. It’s an area that needs improvement to match the quality of the rest of the resort. Still, the positive aspects more than made up for the shortcomings. With a few adjustments at the front desk, this place could be close to flawless. Original review: 07/20/25 I expected better from a place like Meritage Hotel and Spa. Despite arriving early, the check-in process was a mess — long lines, slow service, and no sense of urgency from the staff. Concierge staff stood around chatting and laughing while guests waited. Not exactly the welcome you hope for at a luxury property. The experience lacked professionalism across the board. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. 👎

I would love to give this place more stars. It is a beautiful property. The rooms were pretty and I loved having a balcony. I had an issue with my AC unit not working. I called down, no response. I went to the front desk, no one again. I slept with the balcony door open-had I been on the first floor that wouldn't have happened. Upon check out I again let them know of the issue. I was told "Oh, I will be sure to let maintenance know." No apology. Upon check in, I was given a map and my room keys. No direction. I had to ask. I did eat at Olive and Hay and it was pretty good. My server there was great.
