The Lane Retreat is situated on an idyllic 37 acres of secluded vineyards and bushland and is home to rolling green hills, manicured fairways and sprawling vineyards. Hunter Valley Gardens and the premier concert venue Roche Estate can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car, while the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park is an additional five minutes down the road. The Lane Retreat is within two hours of Sydney and just a one-hour drive from Newcastle Airport (NTL). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

  • Esca, Bimbadgen Pizzeria and Bimbadgen Cellar Door are a three-minute drive from The Lane Retreat.
  • Breakfast provisions delivered to your studio on arrival day, with enough to last the duration of stay. Provisions are continental style, including fruit, yoghurt, muesli and juice.
  • Reservations are required for wine tasting and cheese platter at Bimbadgen Cellar Door and Alter Wines tasting and cheese platter at Emma’s Cottage. The Lane retreat team will contact at time of booking to arrange a session between Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm, or Sunday 11am to 3pm.

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account.
