I had a lovely stay at the G Hotel in Galway. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, making it a great place to relax. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout my visit. The food and afternoon tea were delicious, and I really enjoyed the variety. The bar was well-stocked and had a nice atmosphere, though the drinks were quite expensive.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made for a very welcoming experience. Breakfast was just okay—similar to what you find in many places, with a fairly minimal selection. The room itself was comfortable and clean, though a bit outdated in style. Overall, I would stay here again and appreciated the hospitality.

I recently stayed at this five-star hotel and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience at the bar which stood in stark contrast to the otherwise excellent service we received throughout the hotel. After sitting at a high-top table for around 10 to 15 minutes without being acknowledged, we moved to a low-top table directly in front of the bar, thinking it might help us be seen. Still, no one approached us. You could even check the cameras to see how long we were waiting it wasn’t busy at the time. Eventually, I went up to the bar to ask if we should order there or if there was table service. The bartender, who didn’t appear to be under any pressure, took the order but did so with a dismissive and rude tone. He pointed out we’d have to wait five minutes for the drinks which was absolutely fine but the way he said it and the overall energy (banging things around, no eye contact, no warmth) made it feel like we were an inconvenience. At €16 per cocktail and having spent a lot of money to stay here I expected five-star service, not the disappointing encounter we had at the bar. That said, the rest of the hotel team were fantastic especially the front desk, who were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. It’s a shame the bar let the side down. In the end, we felt so uncomfortable that we brought drinks back to our room and had them there. I've never wrote down this kinds of review. But having worked at a hotel before. Considering that none of the bar staff provided proper service, it seems the hotel is simply turning a blind eye to this issue 2025/08/29 around 8:10pm
