Was very excited to be going The Cove at Atlantis. A beautiful hotel with excellent views of the ocean. They had adult only pools and another good size pool for all ages. The grounds were very well kept and Beach was absolutely beautiful. The access to the other Atlantis hotels and amenities was a bonus. Staff were all friendly. Already planning our next trip this time with the rest of the family.

Disappointing Experience at The Cove – Far from 5-Star Standards I had high expectations for The Cove at Atlantis, especially given the significant premium charged over the other Atlantis properties. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been underwhelming and far from what one would expect at a supposed 5-star resort. First, check-in is only from 4pm — much later than the 2pm standard at most comparable hotels. Even then, when I asked the front desk to call me as soon as the room was ready and gave my mobile number, nobody followed up. When I finally checked in, the bathroom sink was blocked and required maintenance immediately — not what you expect when you’ve just arrived. The most surprising detail was the lack of basic quality amenities. The room only had paper cups for tea and coffee — something I would expect from a budget hotel, not a luxury resort. When I requested a proper glass or porcelain cup, I was told there would be a $4+ delivery charge. I was astonished. There were also no gowns, slippers, shower caps, vanity packs, or other standard 5-star amenities provided in the room. The resort’s much-hyped water park was another letdown. Several slides were closed for maintenance, and there was noisy drilling and construction work at the hotel itself — with sand blowing onto my balcony. For the price paid, I expected some meaningful benefits for Cove guests — perhaps preferential queuing at the water park, or at the very least, an experience that feels premium. Instead, everything here seems to come with an additional charge, and it feels less like hospitality and more like being nickel-and-dimed. Atlantis may be a beautiful property, but The Cove needs to seriously reconsider what it offers its guests if it wants to justify its “luxury” label and premium price.

Back in the day 10-20 years ago The Cove was a top notch 5 star hotel. You always spent a pretty penny to stay at The Cove but you felt like you were getting the 5 star treatment with accommodations that matched. As many others have said, the place needs an update/renovation immediately which is why I rate the rooms 3 stars. Rust/chipped bathroom faucets, dirty grout between tiles, caulking in the showers/bathrooms that looks like it should be in an apartment, sinks that clog, toilets that don't flush well...you get the picture. Good news is that a complete renovation is coming in 2026. On the positive side, the beach, pool and water park are beautiful and great fun so that's a big plus.

The hotel’s main beach area is well maintained. However, when walking to the areas just outside the hotel’s section of the beach, I noticed a significant amount of litter that appears not to be regularly cleaned. It would improve the overall experience if the surrounding sections were also maintained.
