I give the rooms 5 stars, only because as a family we are not too perturbed with how dated the hotel may be. Housecleaning functions well and all the hardware in the rooms work well. Service just a tad short of 5 stars as some of the staff at reception are not as familiar with the accor+ privileges. Thankfully, one of them was aware and my request was dealt with instantly. Location is great for the activities that my family and I had planned for this trip to Melbourne. It will be a place we will come back to if needed.

We had a fantastic stay. Rooms are spacious, comfortable beds and great service from all especially Nicole in the restaurant at breakfast. She was very friendly and provided excellent service. We will definitely return.

I recently stayed at The Como. Whilst there was a small issue during my stay, what really stood out was how the team responded. As a small business owner, I understand that things don’t always go perfectly, what matters most is how people handle it when they don’t. The Como team went above and beyond to communicate clearly and genuinely make me feel looked after. I was incredibly impressed with the level of service, professionalism, and care shown throughout. It’s rare to experience this kind of thoughtful customer service these days. Highly recommended.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and even offered to help with my luggage since there were a few steps down from the lobby to the lift. My room was surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable sitting area right in front of the bed. While the decor was a bit dated, it had everything I needed for my three-night stay. The bathroom had a large bathtub, which was a nice touch. I didn’t receive the Como Duck at first, but a quick call to room service sorted that out—they brought it up promptly. I also checked out the sauna, gym, and pool, which are accessed via a staircase, and had the whole place to myself when I visited. Overall, I had a great stay. The hotel’s location in South Yarra is fantastic, with plenty of dining options nearby, which made the whole experience even better.
