The Chow Kit - an Ormond Hotel

I recently stayed at The Chow Kit and had such a wonderful experience. The service was truly top notch — the staff were incredibly attentive and all requests were handled quickly and smoothly. The interior of the hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the ambience was something I really appreciated. The lighting and overall mood were so thoughtfully designed, it made the space feel both intimate and elevated. I also had the chance to dine at their restaurant, and the food was amazing. The manager and bartender were both very warm and friendly, which made the experience even more memorable. We ended up having such meaningful conversations over great drinks. It really felt like one of those nights that stay with you. Overall, The Chow Kit offered such a thoughtful and welcoming experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stay that feels both soulful and stylish.

Celebrated our intimate wedding reception here, and it was a smashing success! Our dear guests loved the beautiful setting, warm service, and delicious food. That, coupled with the tasteful, romantic ambience, made it a gorgeous, glamorous night to remember. Carmen, our main PIC, was a fantastic help throughout our wedding planning journey! Her kindness, patience and transparency with pricing made the process a lot easier. Kudos and our heartfelt thanks to Carmen and the wonderful F&B team Yuen, Jahid, Afiq, Kalai, Filza, Ameer, Farhad and Amin, as well as the skilled chefs Chef Farhan and Chef Hamka, for preparing the very tasty dinner menu that our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed. Portions were generous and everyone was able to enjoy the dulang fare to their heart’s content. We were amazed at the lengths that The Chow Kit - an Ormond Hotel’s team went to in order to facilitate a wonderful time for our beloved guests. This included thoughtful touches like a beautiful sign for the tea ceremony, individual place name cards for our dinner reception - which really elevated the experience - and accommodating various special needs with the utmost consideration. The option to have a rocking karaoke afterparty at their sister hotel, Momo’s, earned rave reviews, with many saying it was one of the best wedding dinner parties they had ever attended! Our guests who stayed on also enjoyed their comfortable, beautiful rooms and the yummy breakfast options the next day. Of special note is how even after the party was over, the front desk team was absolutely fantastic in helping a close friend - who had flown in for the wedding - recover her lost phone by liaising with the e-hailing driver to drop off the item safely at the hotel venue. We are grateful for their kindness and attention to detail. Top notch customer service all around! Whether you’re looking to celebrate your landmark moments, tuck into a memorable meal, need help coordinating the finer details for an intimate wedding at their fantastic venue, or simply a pleasant getaway in the heart of KL city, I highly recommend this beautiful hotel and its wonderful staff. The rooms are super cute and very well architected! We loved the style. The breakfast had a very small selection, but the things the offer were super tasty. It was a bit cheeky that they extra charge you an egg or salmon. Also the service especially at the breakfast was not really friendly…..

The hotel is strategic with a nice view overlooking the monorail, and my child loved it. But the room was small and cramped. The lighting wasn’t suitable — they used orange lights, which made the room feel too dim. The lift was also quite dark. The TV didn’t have any channels, and there was no kettle provided. They should at least provide 3-in-1 coffee or tea. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that didn’t have 3-in-1 before.
