Firstly, location wise, as it can be confusing - Namba station is HUGE. Find NAMBA NANKAI station; the hotel is on the 6th floor of that station. Location is close to all the major shopping areas and the restos are open till very late. The surrounding areas is full of shopping area and even walking distance to the Glico running man. The room is small but can fit a large suitcase. My brother and his wife got the twin room and it’s slightly larger, and can fit a baby crib. Food is nice, the breakfast view is amazing. The executive lounge area is pretty good and Tya made sure our needs are catered and asked questions to make our stay more comfortable. Service is amazing - both Galih and Anthony (Lobby area) were very good and ensured and anticipated our needs. Completely recommend this hotel!

Fantastic location. Right above the train station and subway station. You won't notice what you are above but it makes it convenient to get anywhere in the area. The area is also walkable and close to many of the major tourist areas. Great restaurants and shopping is only a short walk away. The breakfast buffet on the top floor is amazing with fantastic views (it is a bit pricey but is well worth the cost for the food and views). The room was nice and well appointed. There is also a great lap pool and gym on the premises.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Swissotel Nankai Osaka. Its central location makes it incredibly convenient for accessing Osaka’s trains and subways. Directly beneath the hotel, you’ll find a massive shopping mall that seems to stretch endlessly—though be warned, much of it is high-end shopping 🛍. The hotel offers great amenities including a spa, gym, sauna, and pool, though you’ll need reservations to use them. On the top floor, the restaurant Table-36 is truly exquisite 👌. We enjoyed their breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of options, and for our last meal, we had the Japanese steak—it was absolutely delicious. If you’re visiting Osaka and want a beautiful hotel with just about everything you could need within walking distance, this is the place to stay.

The sound insulation here is lacking, and this hotel, despite the business they’ve drawn from Chinese guests over the years, seems to show a bias against them. I recommend not staying here—I regret it deeply. I paid nearly 2,500 RMB for a narrow and dingy room, and the view outside is terrible, with almost no visibility. We booked four rooms at the same high price, but they’re all different sizes—some are even smaller. What’s more, there’s constant noise from the floor above. When we went for breakfast early, the seats assigned to us were small and cramped, while white guests were all taken to spacious, well-lit spots by the window. The more I think about it, the more upset I get. It’s obvious the hotel favors western guests, as if they believe Chinese guests are easy to push around and won’t speak up about unfair treatment. This experience is really disappointing.
