Staypineapple, An Iconic Hotel, The Loop Chicago

All in all, our stay here was ideal! The building is centrally located & beautifully maintained in its historic magnificence. All of the staff were super accommodating, friendly & helpful in offering up various places to explore & dine, and reminding us of the available amenities. While the rooms are quite small and the humidity in the room was very high during our stay, we spent little time in the room and the comfort of the beds & linens made for great sleep. We appreciated the creative use of the pineapple as a sign of welcome, as each appearance was a whimsical reminder that even a luxurious stay should be fun, as well.

After a long day of unexpected travel 'adventure' the awning of the Pineapple was a welcome sight. As we entered the building we were immediately taken aback by the beauty of the art deco style interior. The front desk staff at the Stay Pineapple are phenomenal! Their kindness, efficiency and attentiveness were impeccable. As we approached the front desk we were greeted warmly and with a smile. Check-in was easy and uneventful. (that's a good thing) A ride in the glamorous silver and black classic old Hollywood movie style elevator was a lovely way to be transported to our room. As the doors opened to our floor we were once again delighted by the beautifully ornate design and decor. Once in our room the functional and comfortable room layout made for a welcome respite from the busy city below. Even though this is touted as a pet friendly hotel there were no sights or smells of previous furry inhabitants. Our room was impeccably clean and serenely quiet. I truly can not express enough how lovely our stay was. Kudos to the staff from front desk to housekeeping for working together to make sure every guests needs and wants are met. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Love the extra little perks in the rooms. Having dogs can be tricky when traveling and this hotel does a nice job for our furry family members.They had dog beds, collapsible bowls, poo bags and treats. Taking them out was where it got tricky as Millennium Park doesn't allow dogs. My dogs are old and can't walk as far. I found a place with a couple small grassy spots across the street from the CBS building. Would be nice if the hotel made a little doggie area. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful.

When I booked the hotel online, I ordered two queen beds when I got to the hotel they sent me to a room with one queen bed and a couch when I called down to let the front desk know I was told that the couch pulls out and that could be a bed. I booked a two queen bed and told front desk this and they did ultimately put me in a two queen bed. I will say this the room was sufficient. The bathroom is outdated, but it is an old hotel. The only complaints about the bathroom is the shower curtain was dingy and dirty and gross. The throw pillows on the bed were dingy and dirty. I did not use those. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows on the bed were not comfortable at all the duvets that they had on the bed they give you two they were falling apart. The valet service was lackluster. There were two gentlemen that I dealt with during valet I did not catch their names, but I will say this there was an older gentleman, and there was a younger guy. The younger guy was not very helpful. Location was great, but I will say that the hotel really needs to clean up this hotel when we first arrived we walked into the door and nearly slipped on the floor in the front entrance. I guess somebody had spilled a drink cause there was a lime on the floor. I nearly fell. We did order room service. I ordered the bread pudding. It was not very good. We did not even finish it. The front desk was not as friendly as I thought they were gonna be when I started reading the reviews and just looking on TikTok about stay pineapple always really expecting a lot more. I would not stay here again. The only good thing about this hotel is the location it is the middle of everything.
