First off, there were parking issues on the first day which was quickly resolved. The room and service staff were excellent. The restaurant was overwhelmed, however, but the food was very good. The staff in the Club M were friendly and accommodating. Overall, still good, though no upgrade when Gold member of All.com.

Our first stay at this amazing hotel. We purchased the beauty and the beast package and found the whole experience amazing from the start. The hotel is beautiful, the staff very friendly and welcoming (especially the guy in coffee shop, sorry can't remember his name) rooms clean and modern. Will definitely be staying here again. 11 out of 10.

Before booking Sofitel Adelaide, I did a lot of research, mainly looking for a hotel with a warm, indoor pool. However, the pool was quite cold, and worse, the room temperature wouldn’t go above 26.6°C, so we had to sleep in socks and coats. The breakfast was also quite disappointing. The shampoo and lotion were empty as well. The only real positives were the beautiful room view and the cleanliness, as the hotel is relatively new with a unique French-inspired design. Overall, considering it’s an international hotel chain, I expected much more. In my opinion, it felt more like a three star experience.

Beautiful premises let down by poor attitude and service of the reception staff. Not one person we spoke with at reception during our stay seemed genuinely warm or willing to serve us. It seemed like we were bothering them with any requests or questions we had. Our check in was delayed by 45minutes due to a last minute “cleaning inspection”. Could this not have been done prior to 3pm? Could another room not have been allocated to us instead? When we requested an additional blanket, this was met with a curt reply, blanket came 25 minutes later. When we were unable to get through to room service and internally transferred to the front desk, the girl seemed all too eager to finish the call. We had queried about cancelling one night of paid parking after check in, the receptionist said she would check with her manager and confirm with us. We did not hear back from her. The check in process was rather lengthy due to long queues. Also, trying to contact the hotel externally is mission impossible, good luck with that! Getting someone to pick up using the internal lines can also be challenging as well. The room itself is beautifully presented and was clean. Housekeeping and room service staff were courteous and friendly. Room service food was good. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, however, we would think twice about returning after our less than 5-star experience here.
