I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to do so for Silky Oaks Lodge, this place is truly a dream. We came here for a few days as part of our honeymoon, and it has honestly been one of the most incredible hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Everything, from the exceptional service, to the attention to detail, the design and quality of the rooms, the impeccable food, and the breathtaking natural setting, is flawless. The lodge strikes a perfect balance between luxury and nature, and every corner reflects thoughtful design and care. If you’re looking for somewhere truly special, this is it. A magical place we will never forget.

What an incredible place! From the .moment we arrived we were made to feel special with an incredibly warm welcome. Silky Oaks Lodge is simply stunning and is complemented by the best staff team we have ever encountered. The dining experience was memorable in the most beautiful dining area we've seen. We would love to return.

A stunning rainforest escape perfect for a peaceful long weekend. The setting is lush and calming, and the bed was super comfortable. Dinner was a highlight, beautifully cooked and full of flavour, changing daily, whilst accomodating dietary requirements. Breakfast, however, felt repetitive with limited variety. The rooms are also not as private as other luxury lodges in Aus. Staff were lovely but mostly travellers, so local knowledge was limited and consistency of room service was lacking given the nightly price of accomodation (no new bath ammenities if empty, no replenishment of snacks). Another downside was the frequent gardening, which interrupted the peace with the constant garden blower going. Still, a great spot to unwind and recharge. Also had an EV charger on site and plenty of parking if you drive yourself.

We recently stayed here to celebrate our milestone wedding anniversary. While the natural surroundings were breathtaking and the lodge staff were warm and attentive, the overall experience unfortunately fell short, especially considering the price point. A week before our arrival, we spoke with the General Manager to ensure something special would be arranged for our anniversary, a decorated room with flowers, champagne, a small celebratory touch. He responded with enthusiasm, saying he knew exactly what we meant and told us to “leave it to him.” When we arrived, there was nothing. No welcome note, no gesture, not even an acknowledgment of our milestone. It was deeply disappointing and completely deflated the sense of celebration we’d been looking forward to. The following day, we mentioned this to the staff. They were sympathetic but advised the GM wasn’t on-site that day. We expected that once he returned, he would follow up or offer some kind of apology or gesture to make things right. But there was absolutely nothing, no apology, no acknowledgment, no effort at all. Dinner each night was lovely, and the on-ground team were consistently professional and kind. But for a property that markets itself as a luxury lodge, the lack of care and follow-through from management was incredibly disappointing. For a once-in-a-lifetime occasion like a 25th anniversary, we had hoped for more than just the rainforest setting.
