I brought my mom and grandmother to the Shangri-La for Mother’s Day high tea, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. The service was exceptionally warm, attentive and personalized. Our server Viktoria went above and beyond to make the afternoon special; she even arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be given to them when they were seated. The food was exquisite; beautifully presented, delicately balanced and crafted with such attention to detail that it felt like art on a plate. My mom and grandmother walked out feeling completely spoiled and so grateful for the experience. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, making it the perfect place to celebrate such a meaningful occasion. Thank you to Viktoria and the entire team for creating such a magical afternoon; we’ll cherish it for years to come!

Very pleasant stay in the heart of Toronto. Warm welcome each time we stepped into the hotel. Rooms were pleasantly decorated and of a good size, but a little bit dated and some aspects need updating, for example, some of the lighting switches and curtain controls didn’t work when pressed. Also, I have to say that the low floor and absence of a view apart from the district heating facility were disappointing. Certainly good enough for a pleasant sleep, but the rooms were not really places you would want to hang out during the day, so it was nice that the hotel was so conveniently located for all the major Toronto sites, which is really the major plus with this hotel.

5 star prices with 1 star service and 2 star hotel. The hotel is located in the business district on the first 16 floors of 60 plus story building. There are no views from the rooms beyond the side of other buildings. The location is very noisy with lots of traffic and emergency vehicles on the street throughout the night. The beds were very nice and the room was clean. However, the fixtures and furniture in the room were very outdated and in need of replacement. Overall, we found the service to be lacking at every turn. No one was present to assist with our luggage when we first arrived. The check in process took about twenty minutes with inexperienced staff that could not handle a simple issue about a complimentary voucher we received from the hotel Our rooms keys did not work on two different occasions. We were seated for breakfast and found out 30 minutes later the kitchen was not serving due to a lack of staffing. We had to get to the airport and ended up being hungry and late. We cancelled our next reservation and don’t plan to return. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this is not the place. The operations are falling apart and the management don’t seem to notice. Based on the price and service this is a 2 out 5 overall for us.
