Getting to Sandcastles 1770 Resort is easy. Regular flights to Gladstone Airport are available with Qantas and Virgin departing most Australian capital cities with one stopover and an approximate flight time of four hours. The resort is approximately one-and-a-half hours’ drive from Gladstone Airport. Airport transfers are not included in your package.

The second landing site of James Cook and the crew of the Endeavour in May 1770, this town got its name from that historic date. Today the town is home to pristine beaches, amazing wildlife, stunning rainforests and is a gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

Tucked away next to 1770 is Agnes Water, a small town that offers great surf, secluded beaches and plenty of cafes so that you can get your coffee fix.
