7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.
- Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.
Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.
Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).
Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.
Please Note:
- Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
- Breakfast hamper is placed in-room on arrival and includes bread, milk, juice, cereal, yoghurt, condiments and butter and may be replenished if necessary
- Bottle of wine is Italian Prosecco. Canapes include olives, cheese, crackers and dips and may be taken on the bath terrace on demand.
- A shuttle service to the Longreach Airport, bus or train station is available on request during your stay. Please contact the lodge for more information.
Sunset Cruise Inclusions & Fine Print:
- After you have purchased your package, please contact Saltbush Retreat directly to book your Sunset Cruise. Date availability is limited, please book as early as possible to secure your desired date.
- Cruise itineraries and inclusions are seasonal and subject to change.
- Smithy’s Sunset Cruise will operate from 1 November – 20 December 2024, and 3 March – 14 April 2025.
- Drover’s Sunset Cruise will operate 1 October– 31 October 2024, and 15 April – 30 June 2025.
- Cruises do not operate from 21 December 2024 – 2 March 2025, please plan accordingly.
- Cruise departure times are flexible and subject to change depending on the expected time of sunset.
- Smithy’s Sunset Cruise:
- Inclusions: 1.5 hour Thompson River cruise, onboard commentary by an expert guide, complimentary canapes, licensed bar onboard (surcharges apply), return coach transfers from Longreach accommodation, A$40 dining credit per person to use at local restaurant.
- Departs from 5.15pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- The included food credit must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Purchases above credit amount are at an additional cost.
- Dining credit may be used at The Branch Restaurant or the Birdcage Hotel.
- Drover’s Sunset Cruise:
- Inclusions: 1.5 hour Thompson River cruise, onboard commentary by expert English-speaking guide, complimentary canapes, licensed bar onboard (surcharges apply), return coach transfers from Longreach accommodation, shore stops at Scar Trees and Sunset Bend, two-hour camp oven dinner at Smithy’s with live entertainment.
- Departs from 4pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 1–31 October 2024. Departs from 4pm from Wednesday to Monday between 1 May and 30 September 2025, and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 15–30 April 2025.
