Tasmania’s Tamar Valley is renowned for its spectacular wines, including some of Australia’s finest chardonnay, riesling, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris and pinot noir. There are 30 wineries in the region; some of the best include Holm Oak Vineyards, Tamar Ridge Cellar Door (just four minutes from the hotel) and Velo Wines. There are also a number of berry farms, where you can pick your own berries and sample jam and quince. To make the most of this beautiful region, we recommend renting a car (Launceston Airport is just 30 minutes away). Alternatively, you can take a car over on the Spirit of Tasmania ferry, with the hotel located just one hour from the port. Transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.
