After reading many negative reviews, I was really surprised with the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room, lovely little kitchenette, bathroom is shower over bath which is a bit hard for us oldies, a grab rail would be a good addition for guest safety-the city location is incredible, so close to everything. On the 5th floor you can't hear any street noise. Secure lifts, as you need your room card to operate the lift when going up. Will definitely stay again and will recommend to friends.

The location of this place is unquestionable. Fancy mall, Chinatown, short walk to trams and queen VIC market. Everything was so convenient. Rooms are to be expected for such a central place meaning that they need a little love for sure. It's not immaculately clean but overall good enough. People and staff were nice. Not all units have a washer dryer. Comfortable nonetheless and would come back.

Great central location. Room was a terrific size, big comfy bed, good air-con, quiet and dark - so much in fact that we slept later than planned! Easy walking distance to major department stores, shops and an array of eateries but if you wanted to stay in, the kitchen facilities would suit perfectly. Would definitely stay here again.

Before I get into the room details, I will say reception staff were great on arrival and departure. Everything explained clearly. 1 star off for lack of housekeeping before arrival. Location is fantastic, as you can see from the address on Google. The room had everything you needed (except for coffee machine, but that's just my personal experience, in terms of most hotel rooms having at least a pod coffee machine. No marks down for that through, had a kettle), but room wasn't that clean. Our room, 509, smelled musty on arrival. Fair enough, it happens a lot. Not enough cutlery for 2 adults, even though we booked for 2. Again, happens. Bathroom entrance had a tattered section in the carpet, which normally I wouldn't care about. But it had exposed part of the track for the sliding door/whatever was previously keeping the carpet down, which had some sharper bits through it. Socks were enough to protect feet, but coming out of the shower we had a towel on the floor at the entrance of the bathroom to make sure we didn't scratch ourselves. Hair and dust on floor of bathroom on arrival. Very strong mould smell, water pressure was pretty low, but again acceptable. Bathroom basin barely drained, especially immediately after flushing toilet. Advertised at having a bath, but an adult would not comfortably fit, it's more child sized. Bedroom had not been dusted in quite some time. Layer of dust on bedside tables. Throw pillows on bed were gross. If they aren't going to be cleaned, just don't have them. Overall, for the $210 per night we paid, some better housecleaning prior to arrival would have gone a long way. Room was definitely in need of a touch up. But if you're planning to be out and about, barely in the room during your stay, consider this place. Just don't expect "Quality Apartments". For us, the constant smells in the room meant the minimal time spent in the room still wasn't enjoyable.
