We just visited for a light dinner, had the scallops and the pork belly, both were yummy, lacked a little flavour but extra coriander solved that and made it very yummy. Great bottle of wine too. When we had to correct the bill because the menu had a different price to the bill, it was fixed immediately without hesitation. Very good service and quiet atmosphere.

The lush tropical gardens and huge free form pools make the perfect setting for a peaceful and pleasant holiday. Staff were great. Lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant. A quiet location just a few hundred meters along the beach from the restaurants and shops of Palm Cove.

Beautiful resort! Our room was quiet and roomy. The pool was fantastic, and staff very helpful (except when we ordered lunch by the pool. The order was incorrect and took forever to arrive). House keeping was not very good, as we constantly had sand and hair in our bathroom that never got cleaned. Also being 5 star I would have liked a pillow menu, because I really prefer a firm one. We had a brilliant time though, and will definitely be returning. Thanks team!

We come up to Palm Cove every other year as we enjoy its vibe and the restaurants. Temple of Tastes has always been a fave and something to look forward to, so we were keen for the night to begin. It started off poorly with my wife’s white wine selection being accepted, only for the waitress to come back saying it was out of stock. After my wife received her alternative the waitress then came back to advise the wife of our friends that her white wine was also out of stock. No suitable alternative could be found. How hard is it to either cross out the wines that are out of stock or attach a note to the menu advising same. Customer’s expectations were built up, and then dashed. Entrees were OK, but two were brought out minutes ahead of the remaining two (they should all be brought out together). While waiting for the mains we asked for our water to be topped up and the waitress asked if we wanted dessert yet! We responded “maybe, but we’d prefer our red wine and main meals first”! We had to ask several times for our bottle of red wine, and when it was delivered it was just placed into the centre of the table, unopened. In a 5 star hotel? Unbelievable! Three of us ordered the Sesame Crusted Tuna for mains, and each of them were overcooked, being hard and verging on dry. My wife couldn’t eat hers. When we reported this we were told they’d pass our comments onto the Chef. Finally, when we asked for the bill we were told we could pay at the register. We did so, not being given an opportunity to check the bill, but we took a copy of the receipt. To our dismay, to compound what had been a pretty dismal night of dining, we discovered they’d charged us twice for the single bottle of wine. We immediately phoned to advise the double charge and were told we’d have to come back the next day and speak to the manager. We did, and the hotel CEO (?) arranged for the refund without question. When advised of some of our issues with the service she advised that the restaurant is soon changing the wine and food menus, and getting a new chef. Hopefully they’ll also institute some decent training for the wait staff, who are probably holding here from overseas. Will we return on future trips? Probably, as surely a 5 star hotel can’t keep offering up this experience and expect to stay in business!
