The hotel rooms are large and I really liked the seating area in the room. Other than a missed room clean, the staf were friendly and helpfull.

We stayed at the Pullman Cairns for one night while attending an event. Check-in was quick and easy, and the hotel was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in at 1 pm instead of 3 pm, which was much appreciated. Parking was simple and convenient. I visited the in-house Vie Spa during our stay and had a wonderful experience with my therapist, Lexi, she was kind, compassionate, and very professional, making the massage both relaxing and personal. The rooms have been newly renovated and were clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were great; however, the soundproofing could be improved, we were on level 7 and could hear quite a bit of street noise throughout the night. Breakfast the next morning offered a good selection in a lovely dining area. The only downside was the barista-made coffees (at an extra charge), which were unfortunately quite average and not worth finishing. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service and a few small areas for improvement.

Nice location by the wharf, and walking distance to Cairns Central. It is easy to catch ferries to the reef and Fitzroy island from here. But it’s a tiny bit out from the main strip/night life; still central, but a bit more quiet. Which would appeal to a lot of people. I received the complimentary upgrade for my Gold status, but no welcome gift. Which is disappointing, because I always receive a Welcome Gift (gold status) from their sister family friendly hotel, Novotel Cairns. The room is clean and modern. This is a good 4 star hotel. (3 star hotel if you’re comparing it to Asia hotels) I’d highly recommend Crystalbrook Riley for families in the luxury category, or Novotel for families for something more within budget. And if you’re after a true luxury hotel in FNQ, you’d have to travel to Port Douglas to stay at the Sheraton.
