We just returned home after spending Labor Day weekend at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa. It was an amazing family trip! This resort is beyond family friendly & pet friendly. We brought our dogs with us and enjoyed the dog beach at ocean beach. The vibe here is so chill/relaxing. The ACTIVITIES filled the weekend with so much family fun! WE DID IT ALL! We did the dive-in movies, triva, bingo, sea shell & rock painting, pickleball, pedal bikes, beach cruisers, and enjoyed the pools and Jacuzzis. WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN and bring our extended family in the future.

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Paradise Point Hotel for our second wedding anniversary, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! My wife, our 3-month-old son, and I had an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our room was absolutely spectacular—located right on Mission Bay with stunning views. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The entire resort is incredibly family friendly, which made traveling with a baby so much easier. We dined at both Tidal and Barefoot Bar & Grill, and the food was phenomenal. The market on-site was also super convenient for grabbing drinks and snacks throughout the day. A special thank you to Deneda, the Sales Director, who went above and beyond to make our anniversary special with a bottle of Prosecco and a box of chocolate truffles waiting for us in the room. That thoughtful gesture meant so much. From the front desk team to the room service and restaurant staff, everyone we encountered was kind, helpful, and made us feel truly welcomed. Whether you’re visiting with kids or planning a quiet getaway, Paradise Point is a gem. We’ll definitely be back—and recommending it to all our friends!

This place is unique and beautiful. However, the service (or lack there of) is absolutely terrible. From the moment we checked in we were supposed to have connecting rooms. That didn’t happen. The couch in our bungalow had vomit on it from a previous guest Which we contacted the front desk to request it be cleaned, and it was never taken care of until the day before we left. So we did not actually have a sofa to use during the time of our stay as due to the odor we placed the cushions on the patio. Every day we received a message from housekeeping, indicating we refused Cleaning Service, when in fact, we had never actually been offered any Cleaning Service. Therefore, our room went three days without being cleaned even though I followed up daily on the matter and requested cleaning twice. I would not recommend this property to others based on my experience.

Booked through Hotels.com, prepaid in full — expecting a relaxing stay with my 14-year-old daughter. What we got was a disaster from the start. Walk into reception — bad smell hits you immediately. The front desk girl talks like she’s half asleep and hits me with a $46/day parking fee. I asked if there was an alternative and she says, with a straight face, “You can leave it in the public lot if you want it towed.” Not even a fake smile. I politely asked if we could get a nice room — same deadpan vibe. No welcome, no “let us know if you need anything,” nothing. You’re running a resort, not a prison intake desk. Next day, we tried the water activities — the staff acted like we were bothering them just by asking basic questions. Cold, rude, unhelpful. Then my daughter wanted to get her nails done at the spa. They refused because she’s “under 16.” I told them she’s almost 15, smiled politely, and said, “Come on, it’s just nails…” Still got a hard “no” with a look like we were asking for a kidney. The attitude was unreal. The cherry on top? The manager texts me after check-in as part of their routine “is everything okay?” follow-up. I explain everything — bad reception, rude staff, poor service. She acts shocked… and then vanishes. No solution, no apology, no follow-up. Just silence. This is a tired, outdated resort that relies on nice photos and a waterfront location to distract you from the fact that they don’t care. Absolutely not worth the money.
