Pamookkoo Resort

The hotel is located in the center of Kata Beach, just a 5-minute walk to the beach and around 10 minutes to the Kata Night Market. It features a kid-friendly water park, and the staff were kind and helpful. When I first checked in, the room had an unpleasant smell, but after I called the receptionist, they offered a free upgrade to a pool-access room. The breakfast was also good. The only downside is that there’s no covered pathway from the lobby to the hotel rooms and the breakfast café, which can be inconvenient during the rainy season. Overall, it was a very good experience.

We had an excellent stay. The room was comfortable with lots of space for 2 adults and 2 children. Daily house keeping was a treat especially all the free drinking water. Ms Cindy from Kids Club was a highlight for our kids. Super friendly and professional, you could definitely feel a shift in energy when she wasn't there. Thanks Ms Cindy. The buffet breakfast was amazing. So many choices to cater to all taste buds. We especially loved the Thai station. Tables were cleared so quickly and the wait staff were friendly. I only removed a star as I requested a nice view (the hotel wasn't full) and we got a room with a view of the building and a tree, not even of the pool. It was my husband's birthday trip too so a little disappointing. Instead of extending our stay as we had extra days we decided to try a different hotel which kindly accepted our request for a nice view. Overall we highly recommend Pamookkoo resort to families. The water park was a fun and memorable experience and we would happily come back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful Location and Great Potential! We stayed at Pamokko for 7 nights, and overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic — just a short walk to Kata Beach, one of the best beaches for swimming and surfing, especially in October. It’s very close, but the heat can be tough for young kids, so I hope in the future the hotel can offer a shuttle service to the beach to make it easier for families with children. The pool area and slides are absolutely sensational — my kids loved them so much they couldn’t go a day without swimming! It would be even better if the lifeguard could be stationed at both the top and bottom of the slide instead of calling from afar, to help manage safety more efficiently. It would also be helpful to have a towel station near the pool for guests who forget theirs, and some drink menus or a waiter on standby around the seating area — that would make it easier for guests to order and could even help boost the hotel’s revenue. The breakfast buffet has a great variety of choices and everything tastes fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful, though sometimes it takes a bit of time for plates to be cleared after meals. Still, their kindness and positive attitude always make mornings pleasant. The cleaning staff are also very kind and responsive, but a little more attention to detail would make a big difference. For example, when we first arrived, we couldn’t find toothpaste and toothbrushes and had to call for a refill, and sometimes noticed a bit of sand or dust around the room. The room is spacious and comfortable, but the bed is quite firm, which may not suit everyone. We also asked for extra pillows, but unfortunately, only one comfortable pillow was available, which made it difficult for me and my kids to share at night. It would be great if the hotel could provide additional pillows and perhaps add a mattress topper to make sleeping more comfortable. Overall, Pamokko has amazing potential — with its great location, fun facilities, and friendly team, it’s already a wonderful place for families. With just a few small improvements and a little extra attention to detail, it could easily become one of the best family resorts in Kata Beach! 🌴💦

Very good hotel, rooms are very similar to other 4 * hotels i have been at. Pools is perfect for families as its not deep maybe about 4 & 1/2 foot deep at deepest point. 2 good fast slides and a few child slides. The breakfast choices are very good and always fresh, bit busy at peak times tho. There is a good gym also. The have thai boxing lesson for children few times a week also which was a massive hit. Decent food at bar however much cheaper outside the hotel. Location is right in the center with everything you could ever want within a short walk. Most big tourist attractions are a drive away, we were happy with this and booked a driver for the day. There is a laundry service at the entrance to the hotel which is great and a fruit stall which is ok but inflates it prices for tourists. I would recommend if wanting to stay in this area.
