The hotel is close, a 20-minute leisurely stroll, taking pictures along the way, from the center of Sydney. The studio is perfect for a couple who want to discover Sydney; it has everything you need to live there. It was our first time and we will be back.

I had an amazing stay here for my birthday weekend. The lovely young brunette ( I think British) helped us have a really lovely stay. The room was lovely only thing I would fault is there’s only mirror and no full body mirror & no tv in the room only living room. Location was perfect and bed was very comfortable! I recommend to stay here.

Not recommended and expensive. An old (and cold) building with rooms that havent been updated for too long. The sauna is old but quite nice, the jacuzzi stinks of chlorine and the value for money was rubbed in when we moved to the ParkRoyal for close to 3 digits less per night. The PR is not an "apartment" and I prefer apartments but it's so much better for so much less.

The Oaks Goldsbrough suites was disappointing for a variety of reasons: 1. We stayed as Discovery members with the intent of experiencing Oaks as a new brand. We booked through the GHA application for our stay and all communications up to the point suggested this stay would be credited as such. After our stay the booking changed to show this stay would not provide any GHA benefit even though it was booked through the application. We can only assume this hotel is an unwilling participant of the program. This is disappointing both from GHA and the Oaks Goldsbrough. We simply will not trust any Oaks establishment after this experience. In addition we weren't provided with any final account not at checkout and not by email. 2. The rooms were tired and noisy as others have noted. While I can see the appeal if you were staying as a longer term guest that needed apartment style accommodation with kitchen and laundry for the price you could stay at the park royal with parking included just down the road for the same price. 3. Services were offered in a budget airline manner with everything being an add on. $65 for a late check-out, $45 for parking, $35 for a breakfast hamper etc etc.. this would be fine if the rates were Jetstar rates, unfortunately they are not charging Jetstar rates. If you go up the road to the ParkRoyal or Hyatt Regency the room will be the same or cheaper but your late check-out will likely be free. In summary it's a tired establishment that's being managed with no attention to value for it's guests and only pay lip service to it's rewards program. If you're not a rewards member it's bad value and you shouldn't stay here, if you are you will be likely lied to about any rewards benefit to get your booking then disappointed by the stay and then let down again once again when no rewards are credited for your stay.
