Oaks Cable Beach Resort is located in Broome, known as the gateway to Western Australia’s Kimberley region. The resort is a seven-minute drive from Cable Beach town, home to a supermarket and café, while the famous Cable Beach is just a 15-minute stroll away. The hotel is located approximately a 10-minute drive from Broome International Airport (BME). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.

  • A non-refundable 1.5% service charge applies to all credit card transactions made at the property.
  • A valid photo ID and a credit card pre-authorisation of A$1 will be required upon check-in.
  • Guests must be 18 years of age and above in order to check-in. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or official guardian.
  • Extended Stay packages include weekly housekeeping. All other packages include daily housekeeping.
  • The hotel restaurant closes during low season from approximately 1 November to 31 March annually. During this time a breakfast box will replace the included daily continental breakfast.

I was in Broome for work and being peak season, there was no accommodation left in town. I was put up a 10-minute drive away in Cable Beach and the Oaks was just amazing! It felt more like I was on holiday then there for work 😊 The resort is very well set up. There are multiple choices of accommodation including units, one-bedroom apartments and stand-alone villas. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, buffet breakfast and a couple of swimming pools in the middle of the complex. The buffet breakfast at $25 dollars was reasonably priced and had many options, very tasty too! I scored the one-bedroom apartment and there was so much space that I didn’t really use it all. Equipped with dining table and chairs, lounge, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and a balcony with a couple of lounge chairs to relax in the sun. There was a fully kitted out kitchen if you are there for an extended period and parking was easy with plenty of unassigned spots right outside the apartment. I was on the first floor and had a great view overlooking the pool, the sunrise was beautiful. Rooms and pool area are all accessed by key card which adds that little bit of extra security. The resort is within walking distance of Spinifex Brewery (5 minutes) and Cable Beach (15 minutes). Highly recommended for your stay in Cable Beach.

Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast is good, though it could use more variety from day to day. Just a 10-minute walk to cable beach, which is super convenient. The two large pools are a big plus, and there’s plenty of space to relax and tan. Overall, a great place to stay!

Great location lovely pool. Very comfortable beds and great size room with all facilities. Bathroom was a bit tired with the shower recess needing a good scrub and update. Breakfast was $25 and not good value, it left a lot to be desired.

This is a resort which could be quite good but it’s a bit old and tired. Staff are OK and friendly enough but too many are ill informed about the resort. Breakfast, which was included, was so ordinary we ate elsewhere. Pool surrounds are good. Bar and restaurant leave a bit to be desired. Our room was OK but the bathroom was tired with soap scum, grime & mould. Sliding door needed new rollers. We stayed for a few days and had to request clean towels, more water and tea, all of which should have been automatic. Our room needed a clean but we were told it wasn’t possible as it was a public holiday! Seriously! This is a tourist Mecca and this was disappointing. It would only take a little effort and good management to have this as a great resort. It’s location close to Cable Beach and places like Spinifex means it should be a winner.
