Great location and service. Room is a bit dated but suitable, beds are comfortable and cosy. Our room has a small balcony looking into a courtyard that opens up and a walking access towards the street and lake. If you need to leave bags there to check in the next day (we were day tripping) they will make sure your bags are in your room when you check in. Reasonably priced rooms and we stayed August which depending on some views the 'peak season'. The front foyer opens to the street and a small walk across the road puts you into the heart of both food and bar experiences. The spacious lounge area and small bar on ground level that looks through courtyard makes having a drink exceptionally relaxing! Thanks guys for a great few nights, we will book back again next year.

Had a lovely stay at the Novotel. Exceptional service. Loved the staff at morning breakfast, always so cheerful. Everyone had a smile on their face. All activities within close proximity. Bedrooms well presented. Hallways could definitely do with a re vamp. And possibly a couple chairs on the decks wouldn't go astray. Other than that, pretty bloody awesome.

Ideal location, lakeside and a very short walk into the main centre. Nice to be next to the lovely gardens where it’s a little quieter at night, and a great morning walk. Booked 1 bedroom Lakeview apartment, Bed was comfy, outdoor balcony would be nice to have a table and chair to enjoy the view with a hot cuppa. You do need to look through the trees but they’re still pleasant particularly in Autumn. Heat pumps in both the living space and bedroom were good, however rattled in the room like a car engine running outside. so was turned off at night, forgot to tell the staff! Sorry, but overall didn’t affect the stay. Facilities were good, housekeeping lovely and considerate, room made nicely each day. Always prefer an adjustable shower head, as like many others who don’t wet their hair in every shower.. it’s inconvenient but the shower was still decent. We ate at the restaurant and in the lobby bar which was all great food and service. Happy hour everyday brought in a small crowd which was enjoyable. Would stay here again.

We stayed at Novotel Queenstown. If we could give zero stars we would. Firstly, reception staff at this hotel are very unwelcoming and rude. Secondly, the place is so run down and outdated. Thirdly and most importantly, their in house restaurant is unhygienic. We added the breakfast buffet offer for our stay but decided not to eat there after our first breakfast due to unhygienic practices. Breakfast served with mouldy fruit in the fruit station. A waitress accidentally took my food to the wrong table and then when they realised I was also offered the food from the other guest’s table (after it had been sitting there for over 15 minutes), how disgusting. Not only is that unhygienic but also extremely unprofessional. Unsafe & unhygienic. Novotel have refused a refund for the unused meals for the days we did not attend this terrible restaurant. I will take down this bad review when they decide to refund us our money for meals we didn't consume.
