This place was a cute hotel and very close to the beach. The offer a shuttle to go down the hill to the beach and back up. The staff is all very nice. Aey was very helpful and welcoming. All the staff were very polite and helpful throughout the stay. The spa at the hotel was also very nice and relaxing. We got the breakfast with the room and it was a very big selection of different dishes. I have a gluten intolerance and they had a few things I can have and some gf bread in the back.

Outstanding Service from May – A True Gem at Novotel Kata Beach Acosta Resort! I recently stayed at Novotel Kata Beach Acosta Resort, and while the entire experience was wonderful, it was May who truly made my stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with such warmth and genuine hospitality that I immediately felt at home. May went above and beyond every single day—always smiling, always attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Whether it was offering great local tips, making sure everything in my room was perfect, or just checking in to see if I was enjoying my stay, her kindness and professionalism stood out. In a resort that already offers a beautiful location, great facilities, and relaxing vibes, it’s people like May who make all the difference. She is an absolute credit to the team and truly embodies the spirit of Thai hospitality. Thank you, May, for making my holiday so special. I will definitely return, and I hope to see you again!

The Positives The hotel's greatest strength is undoubtedly its staff. From reception to housekeeping, restaurant service to front entrance, every team member we encountered was genuinely warm and welcoming. Their exceptional hospitality made a lasting impression and truly elevated our stay. Timing and Renovations Our visit coincided with ongoing facility upgrades, including repairs to the children's play area water sprinklers, air conditioning systems, television channels, and elevator maintenance. While these disruptions were manageable for our family, they became a blessing in disguise, encouraging us to venture out and discover the beautiful Kata and Karon beaches nearby. Areas for Improvement Despite the minor renovation inconveniences, a few issues stood out that could enhance future guest experiences: Climate Control Concerns: We had to maintain our room temperature at 22°C to prevent floor condensation, which seems counterproductive to the hotel's sustainability initiatives. Even with this precaution, condensation formed on the balcony doors, creating wet conditions outside. Smoking Policy Enforcement: Despite clear no-smoking signage, cigarette and cannabis odours frequently drifted onto our balcony, which was disappointing and unexpected. Hygiene Maintenance: During breakfast one morning, we discovered mosquito larvae in the water of our table's decorative vase. While the staff promptly addressed this after we brought it to their attention, more proactive maintenance checks could prevent such occurrences. Overall Impression While our timing may not have been ideal due to the renovations, the experience was ultimately positive. The outstanding staff service more than compensated for the temporary inconveniences, and the situation led us to explore more of the local area than we might have otherwise.

We stayed at Novotel Kata recently and had a mixed but overall decent experience. The **room size was good**, offering enough space to feel comfortable. The **entrance and lobby had a beautiful, welcoming vibe** that set a nice tone upon arrival. **Staff were courteous and cooperative**, always ready to assist with a smile. May and Mia on the reception were good. However, there were a few areas for improvement. We arrived around 3 PM, but **only one of our rooms was ready**, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, while the **location is nice**, it's important to note that **you have to walk uphill to reach the resort**, which might not be ideal for the elderly or those with mobility issues. The **facilities and rooms are starting to show signs of aging**, and the **gym is quite limited in equipment**. Additionally, **the activity timings end at 7 PM**, which feels too early, especially for families who want to enjoy the resort in the evening. No life guards on pools nor any first aid medical facility, given it is located uphill. FACILITIES SHOULD BE IMPROVED AS THE PRICE THEY CHARGE IS RELATIVE HIGH. As for the food, it was good. In summary, **Novotel Kata is a nice resort with friendly staff and spacious rooms**, but it could benefit from a few updates and extended activity hours to offer a better overall experience.
