Just wrapped up a three night stay at Nomo Soho and overall, I found it to be a great hotel. This hotel offers a fantastic location, a friendly staff, and a delicious restaurant downstairs (the fish tacos for lunch were great and their avocado toast for breakfast/brunch is good too). Despite being in a corner Premium King room with an incredible view, I found that the state of the room itself could have been much better. The wear and tear on the walls in the closet, the base around the walls in the bathroom, and the overall wear and tear on the headboard and bed frame was shocking. The hotel itself is amazing but based on my experience and from what I've seen in other reviews, the hotel is in serious need of repairs. No refrigerator in the room was a little inconvenient for water and drinks but it wasn't the end of the world. Another thing I was surprised by was during my second day there, I ordered room service and was informed that "since it was coming from the kitchen, there would be a $6 delivery fee." Only reason this was strange was because the day before when I ordered food, there was no $6 delivery fee. Overall I had a wonderful experience and was pleased with how friendly the staff was whenever I called for room service or had a question. The check-in process was quick and easy. The daily room cleaning was great and very detailed. For me, the biggest draw to come back is the location and the service, the cosmetic issues should be addressed but overall, I enjoyed my stay.

We recently spent three nights at Hotel NOMO. Overall, it’s a great hotel, and I would definitely recommend it. What I liked the most is the location – we chose it specifically so everything would be within walking distance. This was already our fourth trip to New York, and I believe this has been the best hotel choice so far. That said, there were a couple of things that left a small negative impression. At check-in, the receptionist greeted us with an extremely unhappy expression. Maybe she was going through something personal, but it felt like I was somehow at fault for her bad mood. On top of that, the first room we were given was already occupied by other guests. We had to return to the front desk to get another room. In the room itself, I noticed some wear and tear – scratched headboards, holes in the walls – it could really use some cosmetic renovation. Also, I was a bit surprised about the $150 deposit per night, especially since there was no minibar in the room. On a positive note, the rest of the staff were fantastic. The team at NOMA Kitchen were wonderful, and the bellmen were excellent – they helped us with transportation, taxis, and even with our child. In the end, despite the few issues, I truly enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel.

First off everyone who works here is so super great! The room I checked into might be the grossest place I’ve ever stayed. There is mold all over the shower, dust on the carpet and the sink is tiny. I’m just shocked that people pay $450+ to stay here. I asked to move rooms and they could not move me since they are sold out. Most hotels in the area are sold out so I have to toughen up the next few days. NO SLIPPERS OR ROPES!!

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I got to the room, I felt uneasy. The air felt heavy and smelled weird — like damp fabric and old pipes. The bed looked like it had been used way too many times without being cleaned properly, and the headboard was scratched and kind of creepy-looking. There were stains around the vent that looked like mold, and I kept hearing random noises from the hallway all night. At one point I even thought I heard someone trying my door. I honestly did not feel safe or clean sleeping here. I ended up staying awake all night and just waiting until morning so I could leave. It was that bad. This place might look trendy online, but the rooms are a totally different story. I would never stay here again.
