A friend and I went to the rooftop for drinks and appetizers. We enjoyed ourselves. The drinks were good and the appetizers were tasty. It is Nobu, so don't expect low prices. Lol. We had a great time, the staff was attentive, and the view of the city from the rooftop was beautiful. I'd definitely go again.

First and foremost, Nobu Hotel Chicago is not a 5-star hotel. There is no lobby, no spa and you have to take an elevator to use the restroom. No doubt, this place was built primarily for the restaurant that seats 300 and secondarily the hotel. We stayed in the Saki suite, the second biggest suite. It was very nice with an oversized living area and half bath. Bed is very comfy and bathroom had a double sink and flat iron. Downside: No balcony. The mini bar was set up like a tiny convenience store with bottles of liquor, array of snacks and stocked frig. However, the only thing complimentary were two ordinary bottles of water, one which was needed for the Nespresso machine, not even with their logo. The lower level like the rest of the hotel is very dark and has the gym, pool area (lounge chairs but not a single chair or table) and very strange "men's spa" and "ladie's spa" which has a bathroom, shower, steam room (that hardly works) and twin sinks. When more than two people are inside, it's very uncomfortable. Housekeeping service is mediocre at best, we never received turndown service either night even when I confronted the Director of Rooms. The housekeepers are totally disengaged and most likely because the GM, Robert Prohaska, is hands-off except for writing comments on TA and Google. We were here for a wedding and booked many rooms. Yet, I did not receive a welcome card from him nor did the wedding party. And when I confronted one of the managers over service issues, he never reached out. So please, do not respond to this review. Overall, this is a business hotel with its convenient West Loop location and close to the Fulton Market district. There is a rooftop bar that opens at 5:00PM but again, the star of the show is the restaurant. And one last note, valet is $90 per night and operated through a third-party service. They too are disengaged with employees that don't show up so plan on waiting 20-30 minutes for your car.

This hotel is really nice, people were nice, my only problem was that the pillow case had blood on it, we didn't turn the pillows over before going to bed and when we woke up we found blood, in a panic we thought it was ours but when we took a deeper look it wasn't. Staff after that moved us into a different room/upgrade and we were really satisfied with that. It was unfortunate but I'm glad we got it figured out. Overall, very nice hotel, pool was really big, steam room didn't work in the women's area, and the restaurant was alright, we had to tell the receptionist the waiter was not good at all. He took our order and decided that was the only thing he should do and proceeded to clean around the restaurant instead of helping us.
