Wow! We don't even know where to start with this review. My wife and I stayed at Nanuku for 5 nights to start off our honeymoon. We stayed in a lovely two floor suite with pool. From our arrival until we left, everyone at the resort were so incredibly kind and friendly and made our stay a memory that we will never forget. It's an intimate hotel and many of the employees already new our names and room number the first day. The food is very good starting with breakfast that has a large menu that you can order from in addition to a small but high quality buffet. Lunch and dinner were equally impressive with new menus every day meaning that you never get tired of the same menu that of so many other hotels work with. Another thing that is so nice about Nanuku is how they take such pride in their local culture and share it with guests. Both the cuisine and the activities showcase Fiji in the best way and you get an experience of the island. During our stay we unfortunately had a few days of bad weather but the staff went above and beyond to make sure that we still had an amazing stay. They should be the place where other hotels come and study how to provide service. Some of the staff that we communicated the most with were: Vuli Resort manager Freddie in the gardening team Susana, Josie and Carolina in the restaurant Sisilia in the gym Mere our house mama Amena for the activities They are great ambassadors for both Nanuku but also the country as such and show how incredible Fijian hospitality is. We are sure that we will return with our family and look forward to meeting you all again. Thank you for making our stay such a special one!

Thank you to the fantastic staff and manager, Vuli, for helping to make our stay at Nanuku Resort so enjoyable. The resort is a beautiful sanctuary with a brilliant daily array of activities to enjoy. Our highlights were partaking in the various traditional Fijian activities including a kava ceremony hosted by Josh. We also loved the customised private boat trip tour to Yanuca Island, the guys at the beach activity hut were super helpful in creating a special outing for us on short notice. The weekly hotel feast and canapes/drinks event was exceptional and a great atmosphere amongst staff and the resort guests. The food at this event was deserving of the title of feast, with an extensive array of fresh meats, fish, salads, sides and individual cooking stations with chefs. Delicious and plentiful! No shortage of choice and 5* quality. The evening entertainment was also always top notch! Without detracting from the overall experience, a few small suggestions for improvement: Breakfast buffet choices were a bit limited compared to other 5* establishments. A wider choice including cheese, cold cuts, vegetables/fruits and yoghurt would be good, as well as not having to pay extra for bread/toast... Fresh water provided was plentiful with room service, however, it would be great to have glass or environmentally friendly bottles rather than large quantities of small plastic bottles. Prices for tours/activities advertised via the resort were often at a large premium compared to prices outside the resort for same activity. The costs were often prohibitive and on par with hiring a private luxury catamaran in Aus/NZ/USA per time equivalent (in reality the tour is on a narrow fishing/utility boat, and you have to hold on tight not to fly off in the waves!) The food was overall excellent, however there were a couple disappointing experiences with a shared episode of food poisoning one night, a tiramisu dessert the size of one biscuit for ~$30 and no option to order sides on the daily a la carte menus, i.e. typically $50-60FJD for an entree and $80-100+FJD for a main as standard. These prices are equivalent to the top degustation restaurants in Australia. Wines were also an average of $200FJD per bottle (on the lower end of the range). Dining experiences were out of the question given it would cost >$500 just for a 2 person table set up with no food or drinks. Strongly recommend booking your own private transfer to/from the resort as it is a long 2.5hr drive from the airport. The resort offers transfers, but again, the costs are approx 2-4x the equivalent of the service booked independently. We used My Fiji tour booking agency and transfers were included 😊 Overall, a brilliant resort with a large team of kind and hospitable staff and resort manager who is dedicated to his guests and their experience. For this reason, I highly recommend staying at the beautiful Nanuku Resort. Don't forget to try nearby river tubing!

A beautiful resort, perfect location. Everything was perfect, our beautifully appointed Villa with plunge pool. A one minute walk to a stunning beach, where we were able to swim in the warm ocean and snorkell around the reef. We found the whole team at the resort worked together to make us feel welcomed. The service, the smiles made us feel at home. A lovely holiday, laying by the pool or out on a boat to snorkel and visit a private island for a picnic lunch. We enjoyed the activities at the resort, yoga, cooking lessons etc. Our stay was made special by the amazing warm and friendly staff. Planning our next visit.
