Great stay, friendly courteous staff who checked us in efficiently and parked our hire vehicle- plugged it in to charge ( no extra charge) and brought it up for us whenever we required it- given them 10-15 minutes. Good choice of breakfast options in the dining room and complimentary cookies and tea and chocolate buffet for afternoon tea everyday. The room was lovely- I requested a top floor view and got one and the hotel is located within a 10 minute walk of the city centre.

Just stayed for one night — it was my first time in Wellington and I had one of the best experiences! The hotel is well-located and easily accessible. The car park system was smooth and convenient. The chocolate hour was a delightful bonus! Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of options and delicious flavours. All the staff were fantastic. A special mention to Irena at the front desk for her warm welcome and clear explanation of the hotel facilities and nearby attractions in Wellington! Thank you for an amazing stay!

From the moment I arrived, the experience at Mövenpick Wellington was flawless. The room was immaculately presented — stylish, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a plush robe, quality teas and coffees, and mood lighting that made it feel like a private retreat. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom felt more like a boutique spa than a hotel ensuite. But what really stood out was the on-site restaurant. The menu was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. I highly recommend dining in even if you’re not staying — the food rivals some of Wellington’s best. Service was warm and polished, and every detail was looked after. From the luxurious textures in the room to the top-tier hospitality, this hotel delivers across the board. An easy 5 stars — I’ll absolutely stay again next time I’m in Wellington.

If the pool was heated as it said on the website and if the bathroom glass door closed properly (due to being very close to the carpet) this review would have a rating of a 9 / 10. The pool was the main reason I chose this hotel. Once I realized that no effort by staff was to be made to heat it at 28 29 degrees I had to get over it so it wouldn't spoil our family staycation. Advice to management, tell the truth that the pool will never be warm and remove the word 'heated' from the website, its misleading and tarnished the experience that otherwise would have been awesome. I've stayed at the QT and Intercontinental Hotel and their pools are warm so I know the difference. The staff, service and the extra bits made it a nice hotel to stay for the weekend. I'd like to mention the staff and service at the Forage restaurant, wow the food was amazing, thank you Floyd for your suggestions, you were right. Thank you Chefs. We will definitely be back for the restaurant. We stayed in a suite and to have the VIP elevator just a step from the room and a step to the restaurant we felt very VIP. Valet parking is worth it, as this includes your bags being taken to your room by staff. Its worth staying here for the experience. To John, thanks for checking us out, your service and kindness was very appreciated
