not suitable for driving at night, but near Daisen attraction. Onsen is good, with free tea and snack at night as well.

This is a great hotel - the location and views are fabulous as are the room sizes. We chose the half board option and were very impressed with the many food choices and the quality. The lounge with free drinks is a wonderful addition, allowing us to get together easily with other family members. The onsen is also really nice - a good size, nice and hot and very clean and spacious.

Recently taken over by the Mercure resorts group, the hotel had a good remodeling. Spacious rooms, nice hot spring facility, and a simple but pleasant lounge at the top which guests can use free of charge. The breakfast was a vast buffet of delicious and healthy foods, and fresh-ground coffee was available.

I stayed 4 nights at Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort with friends and faced multiple issues. Reservation problems due to multiple daily bookings caused a 30-minute delay at check-in. The Japanese front desk staff's lack of English made communication difficult. The dinner buffet process was disorganized and unprofessional staff behavior. The lounge was overcrowded, understaffed, and poorly maintained. Rooms were outdated and smelled unpleasant. Overall, service was subpar—worse than an Ibis hotel. However, I appreciated the helpfulness of one male front desk staff member at checkout.
