My daughter and I enjoyed a weekend away at Clear Mountain Lodge. We found the environment and views so relaxing. We especially want to thank Sarah and Kathy on Breakfast service. There was a wedding on the night before so the breakfast service was busy for them however it wasn’t felt by the patrons as they continued to smile and be so warm, friendly and accomodating that we felt relaxed . Thank you for a beautiful time away :)

I stumbled upon this amazing place while driving through the hills. The location is secluded and it feels like a retreat only 20 minutes from shops and services. Our room looked out to trees and lakes and the sea. The convenient buffet breakfast allowed us to start our day well with a view for the ages. The staff were friendly and the rooms are well kept. We will definitely be back and fully recommend this as a place people should stay when visiting Brisbane. People that I have shown photos to have saved the location into their phones. Thank you for a superb stay for me and my family.

Nicely appointed room, loved the bathroom. I feel though that the walls need more sound deadening - could clearly hear conversations from next door. Haven't had a mechanical key to a room door in ages! Meals were nice, chef was great, good to see him on the floor. No fortified wines on the menu but chef kindly went and found some. Good selection of breakfast items but a decent patisserie would assist - the croissant "facsimiles' (at 10cm that's what they should be called) looked almost wooden. Would definitely return on quiet nights but would not want to be there when the hotel was full or an event being hosted. Great venue for conferences, weddings or other events

Disappointed by lack of honesty and accessibility support The food at Clear Mountain Lodge was excellent, fresh, well-prepared and served in a beautiful setting. However, our overall experience was unfortunately tainted by poor service and a lack of consideration for accessibility. Before booking, my elderly parents specifically asked if there were any stairs to reach the room, as my mother has mobility issues and cannot climb stairs. They were told there weren’t, yet when they arrived, they were shocked to discover they had to climb two separate flights to reach their room. When they raised the issue, staff simply shrugged and said, "It is a mountain retreat." No alternative was offered. No assistance. Not even a small gesture like a discount or apology. It felt dismissive and uncaring, especially considering they were upfront about my mother’s condition from the start. There was also another elderly couple there, one of whom had recently had a hip replacement, they were told the same thing when they booked, only to face a similar issue, but with more stairs involved. We also didn’t see any disabled parking spots in the car park either. A lovely setting doesn’t excuse misleading information or a lack of basic empathy. I would not recommend Clear Mountain Lodge to anyone with mobility concerns and I hope management reflects on how they handle such situations in the future.
