Stone throw from brisbane convention centre, clean and nice room. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Highly recommend Mantra South Bank Brisbane! Great location with plenty of dining options nearby. Service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The welcome drink was superb and a lovely touch. Overall, very satisfied with our stay – well worth it!

We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was quite spacious. It was fully self contained with a laundry and kitchen. How ever the bathroom only had a bath tub which was quite high to step into and was rather slippery.

I had booked a King Room for my wife and I. Upon check in, i was told that i had been given an upgrade. On getting to the room, whilst it was a One Bedroom apartment rather than a normal room, it only had a Double Bed. Being 6 foot 4, this was totally unacceptable as i cannot in a double bed. I immediately went back to reception and explained why the room was not suitable and asked if i could have the King room i had booked. I was meant with heavy sighs and a shake of the head and the comment "Seriously, that is one of our best rooms we have given you". I again explained as to why it was not suitable and asked for the original booking. I was then told that that booking had been given to someone else. I then asked for any other room with a King Bed and was told that the hotel was fully booked. I said this was not good enough and that i needed at the very least a Queen Size bed. I was made to wait about 15 minutes and was then told that they could give me a room that had been booked but the people had not checked in yet. I told her that i appreciated this very much. Whilst the outcome was satisfactory, through the entire process i was made to feel that i was inconveniencing her and that i was ungrateful for the upgrade i was given. I have stayed at this hotel about a dozen times and have recommended it to a number of friends and family as i have always had such positive experiences. Until now. We will be back in Brisbane in 3 weeks and i had intended on booking whilst i was there the other day however this experience has made me question my loyalty to your hotel.
