Nice hotel, good sized room. A little noisy from the train tracks next to the hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights while our little one was in special care in hospital.. location was perfect, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were reasonable.. agree with the other comments about the rooms needing an upgrade, the bathroom was rather outdated with stain markes in the bath.. didn't like the bath shower arrangement.. we have the king apartment on level 8.. The kitchenette in the Queen rooms seemed to have more bench space than that of the King room we had which seemed odd. Room service each day was very good. Had to keep asking for 2 face washers and on one occasion make our own trip down to reception for more toilet paper.. The only down side to this place is the lack of a close by convenience store close by. Also the parking is $50 a night which is rather dear i through seeing it was just outside, no discount or any help seeing we were at the hospital.. parking there was parking pass for $75. Apart from that the room service us well and I would possibly stay there again if needed. Room had a good view with a little balcony.. mains were very noisy, helped with the windows and doors being closed to reduce some of the noise.

Good in that it is close to the mcg. Not that close to cbd so would not recommend unless you are attending an event at the mcg or nearby stadiums. Shower pressure was non existent and shower was either too hot or cold. Shower area was very small. We were told that our room rate did not include housekeeping. Walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors talking and their kids crying. Bed was too soft for our liking. Only provided with one bulky key for each room. No smart tv. Served our purpose as we were attending an event nearby.

Before booking online, I had phoned to ask questions. There was no mention of having to pay a $100 deposit upon arrival. I've been a carer for 34 years for different family members who are or were disabled or terminally ill. I'm very poor. I had been saving for many, many years to give my son, whom I'm currently carer for, a nice 21st birthday present. As soon as I heard ACDC would be coming, I was quick to get tickets and accommodation. I had little money left over for food and fuel (though we ended up on V/Line because they lied to us about parking). Because of the surprise $100 deposit, I couldn't buy my son any merch - not even the cheapest thing. I'm physically disabled - which is obvious by my use of mobility aids to support me whilst walking - permanent use of forearm crutches. They told me that I'd have to call closer to the date we'd be staying to book parking. So, I phoned in early October, already parking was gone for November. We live in the bush. V/line and Metro are hard to use because of my disabilities. Yes, you can be a carer and disabled. When we got there, I was expected to stand in a long queue. I ended up having to sit down because it was becoming too painful to stand, well within view of the reception desk, and they just kept serving everyone else. I also asked about accessibility in the bathroom, when I phoned many months ago, as it turns out, the toilet is lower than a normal one. I can handle a normal sized toilet, the lower one is difficult to use. It causes pain to use. Because of the surprise deposit - and I noticed not everyone was ask to pay a deposit -, i filmed and photographed the room upon arriving and when we left. Since they decide who must pay a deposit, based on what you look like, and I'm all too familiar with disabled discrimination, I haven't received my deposit back. Just as well I took evidence. Some surfaces had a thin layer of dirt on them - coffee table and kitchen bench. The bathroom also had a later of filth. I had to wipe surfaces because it was gross. I left my partial dentures, by accident and in a rush to get home because it's a long journey, on the side table in the bedroom. They claim there's no sign of them. I hope it's not a case of staff sending them home to family. Having had an aunt who hired staff for higher end hotels and accommodation, I'm aware that some will send dentures home to family overseas or sell them. It will take me years to save for replacements. Carer pension isn't much to live on - I dropped out of university to help family - before you make value judgements. I had a very culturally diverse upbringing, that it's not a racist statement. Some close family friends, whose origins span the globe, have confirmed it's a thing. Same with reading glasses left behind by patrons. Since they aren't returning my deposit, which they said they would, I'll now be lodging a complaint with Consumer Affairs, including my photo and video evidence of us leaving the room better than we found it, in my application.
