Mantra Castle Hill Sydney

Good, spacious room. Courteous staff.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Mantra Castle Hill. The hotel staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process and providing helpful information about the hotel facilities. The room I stayed in was beautifully designed and clean, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. Throughout my stay, the staff provided excellent customer service, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. I highly recommend Mantra Castle Hill for a pleasant and enjoyable hotel experience.

Definitely NOT a 4-Star Hotel! Unfortunately it seems the owners are reluctant to put any money in to maintenance leaving a hotel that could be considered unsafe and possibly a health hazard. Management and staff seem to be trying to do the best with what they are given. Good Points: Staff were friendly and helpful Bed was comfortable Parking was included and undercover Bad Points: It is obvious this hotel is being neglected and certainly not representative of a 4-star Accor property The number of WHS issues that were identified, I would really have to question the legality of this hotel being safe. In no particular order: 1. Room was dirty with stains, grime and dirt. 2. Plastic bag over fire sensor (WHS issue) 3. Ant infestation (WHS issue. I'd have to question the validity of any pest control with ants on level 4) 4. Test and Tag of electrical appliances way out of date. (WHS) 5. Mould in bathroom (WHS) 6. No recognition Accor membership 7. No Welcome drink offered 8. No milk in fridge for tea or coffee 9. No cleaning cloths or pot cleaners for cleaning (had to use bathroom towels) 10. Plates, knives and forks had to be cleaned before use. covered in dirt and grime. 11. No restaurant, or food options. Not even a vending machine. 12. Room only serviced twice over 4 days 13. Curtains ripped 14. Chewing gum behind curtain. 15. Not enough cutlery for more than one person. 16. Freezer iced over not able to be used. 17. Broken gas igniter.

The 3 bed room was (dirty), the aircon x 2, did not work, the door locks continued to have problems/stop working every day for several days, and unfortunately the bed doonas were as thin as a mattress underlay. (Not great for a winter stay) So, we went out and purchased blankets to stay warm. That said, we did not have high expectations to start with because similar google reviews also mentioned the hotel being dirty and the door locks having issues. The bathroom shower window image (as one example) is at face height, so if the bathroom is cleaned, how can this be missed, or not be considered worth cleaning? So, with this Mantra, it is what it is! PS. Mantra management, don’t waist your time replying and apologising, just spend the time to get on with doing what you can do, (clean the rooms properly) fix you door lock issues, and check the room AC, for all rooms.
