Gorgeous, Classic hotel which is centrally located In Manhattan. We were within walking distance to upscale boutiques, souvenir shops and plenty of restaurants and food carts. The service from reception, bell hop, housekeeping and in room dining was Outstanding. Our room was a quiet and peaceful cathedral view and that was Beautiful. The Lotte Palace is a Fantastic choice while in NY. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank You.

Nice friendly staff everywhere, room cleaning staff, front desk, coffee shop, concierge, and doormen. Room is spacious and comfortable. Great views from our room of the cathedral across the street and Rockefeller Center.

The hotel has gone downhill since I stayed there last. My first room had a missing inner curtain, and quite a bright time square light shining in. So I switched, and the second had a totally worn out bed. The next morning I switched again, and the room was beautiful, with a normal bed and fantastic view... But it smelled like smoke. I don't think the AC worked properly in any of them. This used to be my favorite Manhattan hotel, but something bad seems to have happened.

The Lotte is, on it's face, a gorgeous hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, it has appeared to lose some of it's luster and suffers from staffing issues. Upon arrival at the hotel, there was a line 20 deep of people waiting with one person checking people in. We waited for a full half hour in line before another person finally arrived who was able to check people in. The manager did their best by apologizing and bringing water to people waiting in line, but I think it would have been preferred if they had been able to also get people checked in. This resulted in us being late for our dinner reservation and nearly going over the grace period window The room was a nice size for a New York hotel, but dated. What was probably considered state of the art back in the 80s doesn't meet present-day expectations for a 5 star hotel. There is no fan in the bathroom and so the shower curtain reeked of mildew. The AC unit was squeaky, but probably due to some overtime use with the heat wave. The robes were nice for lounging and the bed was comfortable. Overall, it was a fine experience, but the amenities and long wait times for the front desk do not meet the price point. I hope that the hotel group that owns the Lotte is considering making some updates in the future.
