Highlights

Nothing says romance quite like a secluded countryside escape and this boutique gem promises the perfect retreat, inviting evenings spent curled up in front of the cosy fire with a glass of wine in hand.

What You’ll Love…

The Hotel — Idyllically located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula

Considered one of the most romantic escapes in Victoria by Luxury Travel Magazine and ranked #3 in the ‘Top 10 hotels in Australia and the Pacific’ at the 2019 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill will effortlessly set the mood for a weekend of downtime — complemented by the occasional winery trip.

The setting could not be more idyllic. Hidden amid picture-perfect gardens with a glistening lake and home to an award-winning cellar door — awarded 4.5/5 stars by legendary wine critic James Halliday — and paddock-to-plate restaurant The Dining Room, this retreat was made for romantic sojourns.

Inside, you’ll find an open fireplace in almost every corner — the result of a stunning multi-million-dollar facelift by design team Hecker Guthrie in 2017 — and minimalist, Scandinavian design that invites you to curl up with a good book and simply let go.

When you’re not enjoying some well-deserved downtime, the location is perfect for discovering the peninsula’s pristine beaches, wineries, picturesque Arthurs Seat Lookout and the iconic hot springs, home to over 20 bathing experiences.

The Room — Rise and vine with views over the courtyard

Complete with a king bed and sleek, simple furnishings, the Courtyard Room (25sqm) will set the mood for your romantic Mornington Peninsula escape.

Luxe Upgrade: Tucked away in the expansive Vineyard Wing, the luxe, larger Linden Room (35sqm) features a welcoming sofa, a king or twin beds and white French doors that lead onto a shared courtyard.

The Food & Drinks — Daily à la carte breakfast, A$100 drinks and dining credit and two bottles of wine

Every morning, taste the acclaimed paddock-to-plate produce of the Mornington Peninsula at The Dining Room, where you’ll savour your choice of breakfast starter (such as fruit salad or flaky croissant with Red Hill strawberry jam) and one main per person. Be transported to France with a croque monsieur with smoked ham and gruyere cheese, America with fluffy pancakes topped with mixed berry compôte or outback Australia with a country breakfast featuring the works.

Plus, enjoy A$100 drinks and dining credit per room to use at the cellar door or towards a meal at The Dining Room. Savour pan-roasted scallops, charred venison rump with Red Hill truffle, and desserts such as steamed treacle sponge with rum parfait and truffle crème brûlée, all complemented by an extensive wine list. If an afternoon in the award-winning onsite cellar door is more to your pace, pull up a seat in this serene setting and enjoy a flight of Lancemore Lindenberry’s finest drops, described by legendary wine critic James Halliday as ‘knocking on the door of a five-star rating’.

Bid farewell to this iconic cool-climate wine region with two complimentary bottles of acclaimed Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill wine to enjoy at home.

See & Do — The perfect change of pace

Mornington Peninsula holds so many possibilities for romance, such as scenic walks through tree-lined vineyards — the acclaimed Port Phillip Estate is just a short drive from Lindenderry — tasting flights at the nearby Bass & Flinders Distillery and Jetty Road Brewery, bathing in the nearby hot springs, a stroll across pristine beachfront and market exploration at the Red Hill Community Market. That’s only if you can tear yourself away from the sprawl of breathtaking gardens, the award-winning cellar door and exceptional restaurant found onsite at your boutique retreat.

In between moments of relaxation, venture out from this luxury haven to savour the Mornington Peninsula’s gastronomy. Commonfolk Coffee Company has locals lining up daily, The Rocks Mornington offers unbeatable sea views and fresh seafood, and Ripe ‘n’ Ready Cherry Farm makes for a perfect afternoon of cherry-picking.

I’ve photographed many weddings at Lindenderry Red Hill and it never fails to impress. The ceremony location is striking and always makes for beautiful photos, while the vineyards and surrounding gardens provide endless portrait locations. With accommodation on-site, the day flows seamlessly from getting ready through to the reception. The team are always a joy to work with, ensuring everything runs effortlessly - truly a perfect Red Hill wedding venue.

We just got back home from a three-night memorable stay at Lancemore Linderberry Red Hill. We had great time there even though it is the height of winter. There're so many things to do, there're plenty of options to keep cosy and warm: Open fire places, firepits outside, sauna, warm spa and pool, lovely vibe at various drawing rooms with open fire place for a quiet read while sipping tea/wine. There're quite a few options for both indoor and outdoor activities for kids. The room we stayed is very clean with a lovely view. The restaurants and the cellar door offer delicious foods. The staffs are amazing. They are all so helpful and lovely. They went out of their way to assist. The whole place is located in the arguably most beautiful part of the Mornington Peninsula where a day trip can take you to a wide repertoire of lovely places.

My wife and I had our wedding at Lindenderry in February, and we were just blown away (as were our guests) at how perfect it was. From the beautiful property, the set up, the rooms, the food and drinks, and the staff. It was so great to be able to arrive early with my groomsmen to use the pool, sauna, and the big room with the pool table, TV, and where we could relax to have a few drinks and lunch before the ceremony. A big thank you to Jill Brownfield, our wedding coordinator, who was so helpful throughout the process - we couldn't have done it without you and can't thank you enough. You made us both feel at ease and made our wedding so special. Another special shoutout to the chefs and F&B staff. We had many guests who stayed at Lindenderry, it was great to wake up the next day to the beautiful breakfast buffet and debrief the night. We highly recommend Lindenderry as a wedding venue!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless—nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything we needed was delivered promptly and cheerfully. Every team member we encountered was not only helpful but also incredibly friendly, always up for a chat and truly invested in making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms were immaculate, and the entire property is full of charm and comfort. There’s no shortage of things to do—whether it’s wine tasting at the cellar door, restaurant dining, a game of tennis or pool, a dip in the swimming pool, or simply relaxing in the outdoor hot tub. There are also several cozy lounge areas, perfect for unwinding with a drink, chatting with friends, or soaking in the warmth of a roaring fireplace. Lancemore at Lindenderry delivers the perfect balance of luxury, relaxation, and genuine hospitality. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!
