First experience at the Kube Hotel, as a couple for two nights. The garage isn't at all convenient, but we knew that, so be careful with large cars. The receptionists are very pleasant. The room is nice but not very clean, and the bed isn't very comfortable. Good value for money.

The hotel isn't far from a major station (Gare du Nord), but the area isn't clean, and even though there weren't any issues, the feeling of security wasn't great. The room was good, with a comfortable bed, a desk, and a bathroom. This is a particular weak point of the hotel, as is customary in France, the bathroom has a bathtub and a shower above it. The problem is that when I showered, the water would splash all over the outside of the bathroom. There was no curtain or anything else to prevent the water from running out of the bathtub. Every time I showered, the bathroom would get completely soaked! Breakfast was good. Nothing spectacular, but it was good, and the food was tasty (except for the scrambled eggs!) The staff was very attentive and tried their best to help us. Everyone spoke English, and there were two people who spoke Portuguese! :-)

Great service. Nice staff. Terrible noise isolation in the rooms and electricity problems. The lights were flashing and for some reason you can’t turn the lights off without cutting the power in the whole room meaning no AC and no power during the night.

This “hotel” has a serious pest control issue — ants and other unidentified insects crawled out from under furniture every time I moved something (e.g., the nightstand). When I contacted management with photos and concerns, they offered nothing but excuses. The dining tables were not cleaned properly, still marked with water stains and grime every morning I went down for breakfast. The food was consistently cold, with very limited variety. The location is also unsettling — tucked in a shady cul-de-sac, often with people loitering nearby. Despite this, the main gate was left wide open at all hours, even late at night, which made the place feel unsafe. I had a clear view of it from my room and not once saw it closed. Staff were untrained, rude, and unprofessional, and unfortunately, I believe this reflects poorly on the entire Machefort Group of hotels and their properties. I did my research (unfortunately after my stay) and their reviews are consistently bad. This is not a four-star hotel — it barely qualifies as one star, yet charges premium prices. How are they allowed to say they are a four star hotel? It is a step up from a hostel. Do not stay here If you’ve already booked here, document everything — take photos and videos — and do not hesitate to ask for your money back. This place needs serious accountability and improvement. Or perhaps they need to demolish it all together. . One staff member initially suggested I find another hotel, which was unhelpful, though I was later upgraded to a better room after some persistence. I booked well in advance, so these problems were disappointing. The hotel has potential, but major improvements are needed before it can truly meet four-star expectations. It is actually 15 to 20 minutes walk from Gare du Nord not five minutes as they state on their website. And those 15-20 minutes is an obstacle course of shady characters to avoid.
