During my summer vacation, I chose KOI as my destination. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find that my room was new and clean, although some of the rooms opposite mine were still under construction. The hotel staff left mixed impression - some were friendly and welcoming, while others seemed less enthusiastic and not particularly helpful. In general the reception and customer service need more noticeable improvement. The beach access was somewhat disappointing and didn’t quite live up to expectations. On the bright side, the buffet was a highlight - the food was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes, and they even had two coffee machines available for guests. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful and impressive design, and its location is relatively close to the city, make it convenient for short trips or outings.

This Hotel Falls Short of Its Promises — Poor Privacy, Cleanliness, and Overcrowding We booked through a third party and have shared our feedback with them as well. We reserved and received the Grand Pool Suite as requested, but the experience was far from what the hotel presents on its website. Upon arrival, we noticed a communal hallway window — wide open and about a metre off the ground — facing directly onto our private balcony. We flagged this as odd at the time between ourselves on arrival to our room, and unfortunately, it turned into a serious issue. At 6:00 AM one morning, we found a woman posing for photos on the edge of our private infinity pool. Her partner was there as well — they had climbed out through the hallway window and into our space. We immediately called the manager to report this violation of our privacy and raised serious concerns about the lack of security. The window winder was removed afterward, but the incident should never have occurred. The room's cleanliness was also below expectations. Multiple surfaces had visible fingerprints, which is unacceptable in a premium suite. We witnessed a cleaning issue on one of the days we’re the cleaners were in and out of our suite within less than 5 minutes. No vaccum was ever used during our stay. The hotel’s food offering was equally disappointing. The lunch and dinner menus were identical each day, offering no variety or flexibility. It quickly became boring. The buffet breakfast was unsupervised from a hygiene standpoint — we saw several guests using their fingers instead of the provided tongs, with no staff intervening. The hotel itself is huge, but clearly under-maintained. It was overrun with bus-tour groups, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a budget cruise ship than a luxury resort — noisy, crowded, and impersonal. The spa and wellness area was also a letdown — not at all inviting, and certainly not luxurious. To be fair, Kim at Front Reception stood out as a helpful and friendly staff member, and we appreciated her support. However, overall, this hotel should be rated lower than it currently is. It simply does not deliver the level of service, privacy, cleanliness, or experience that it promises online. We expected much more and left feeling disappointed.

⭐️⭐️ Disappointing Stay – Looks Nice, But Lacks Practical Comfort I spent one night at Koi Resort Da Nang, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a pleasant experience overall. The biggest issue for me was the room lighting — it was far too dim and arranged in an impractical way. For guests who are sensitive to lighting, this setup can be very uncomfortable and even strain the eyes. Proper lighting should be a basic priority in any hotel room. The room itself was clean and tidy, but the bathtub placement made no sense. While I understand the attempt to make the space feel more luxurious, the tub was awkwardly positioned and the faucet was in a very inconvenient spot, making it hard to use. We ordered a snack by the pool — fish and chips — and were shocked to find it full of small fish bones. This is a dish often chosen for children, and serving it this way showed a clear lack of thought and care from the kitchen. Later that evening, we ordered two bowls of bún bò Huế, and it was honestly terrible. I couldn't even tell if it was made by a Vietnamese chef — it tasted more like instant noodles from Russia than a proper Vietnamese dish. On a positive note, the staff at the outdoor pool and on the second floor were friendly and welcoming. They seemed to be better trained than expected for a hotel with such issues. Overall, the resort looks nice on the surface but fails in practical comfort, food quality, and thoughtful service. It’s a 2-star experience at best.

- I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE - NOBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH They pretend like they do but then they don't understand a word you're saying. Their own accents are so terrible that it's impossible to understand them either. It's incredibly FRUSTRATING. The only way to communicate is through translate apps - The food is just AWFUL I guess that’s somewhat expected given the location, but I at least hoped for better seafood and a wider variety of fruit. Unless you pay for the all-inclusive option, you only get one drink at lunch or dinner and one 500ml bottle of water per day — and even that isn’t always provided consistently - I expected better service. They just act friendly while not actually doing anything 1) Housekeeping was irregular and poorly done 2) Some of our clothes got stolen and nobody saw nothing or made any effort to help 3) They messed up our drink orders at the restaurant multiple times 4) One night, they rented out the pool area for a corporate party - right next to our villa. The music was blasting like it was a nightclub, while I was trying to put my 4-year-old to sleep. We weren’t informed, let alone asked for our consent. When we complained, nobody turned the volume down. Reception was useless. Clearly, management was chasing extra revenue without the slightest respect for guests. - Pool and the beach were nice but there were nowhere near enough sunbeds - Entertainment was basically nonexistent
