The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

City Tax: A EUR7.43 per person, per night tax applies, payable directly to the hotel. Tax is not applicable after seven nights.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excellent 5 star hotel with great service and great ambiance. The hotel is very modern and the location is great. They have a pool at the rooftop terrace. They treated us and our 2 dogs like royalty. I highly recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous boutique hotel with a few minor cons. Pros: -Spa services offered were fantastic! Sara (?) was fantastic and such a warm presence. -Super cool rooftop—great views! -Fantastic breakfast buffet included in your reservation -Friendly staff -Great central location! Cons: -The rooftop staff can seem a little inattentive on the rooftop, but they are super friendly…I was glad they were having fun! But the vibe might not be to everyone’s taste. -I had the worst burger I ever had (go figure…I had just had a lot of wine and wanted something more substantial 😅) on the rooftop, and I probably should have said something but I was very tired. -The pool is small and shallow, mainly meant for sitting and sunbathing. Can’t beat the views though! I had a lovely experience overall, no place has everything but this checked almost all the boxes!

I booked the Kimpton Barcelona from July 25 to July 27. I did this because our flight did not arrive until very early Saturday morning. By booking the night before, I did so knowing it would cost more money, but that it would guarantee that my room would be available. When we arrived at check-in July 26, we were told that the room was not only not ready but that my reservation was cancelled as I was listed a “no-show.” I was told my room was given away. While another room was found, we had to wait 30 minutes and subsequently missed a reservation. There are many things that are wrong: 1. I paid for two nights to guarantee my room was ready. It was not. 2. My room was given away, meaning, the hotel got TWICE the amount because they charged me and whoever ended up in my room. They essentially double dipped 3. There was never any wording or communication from the hotel that my room was going to be given away. They could’ve called me if they were wondering where I was. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and never had this issue. If I book for specific dates, it shouldn’t matter if I show up early or late. The room is reserved. If there’s an issue, a simple phone call could’ve solved this. So I paid for two nights when my room wasn’t even available. I think this is wrong and bad practice. Personally, I do not plan on staying at this hotel again or at another Kimpton property as there clearly are communication issues and the chances of being “double charged” are high. While this hotel is lovely and at a great location, it’s not worth the headache. I should’ve never been charged for two nights.
