Some of the best staff and service I’ve experienced at a hotel. The location is fantastic for someone looking to catch all of the sites due to its centrality and proximity to Amsterdam Centraal and the tram right outside the hotel. The rooms are stunning! But really, I have to commend the terrific staff. Every single staff person was happy to help and give guidance when needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Great location. We appreciated the lemon water in reception and the comfy seats. Happy hour was a nice touch too. The room was spacious, clean and super comfortable beds. We loved having the option of picking a plant to have in our room during our stay too. The cafe was great, good coffee and pastries (just don't be in a rush as it was a little slow waiting for the coffee's, but worth the wait). Staff were all super friendly. Would definitely stay here over all the other hotels I had on my list as the convenience from the train was such a bonus. (So easy to get to and from Airport).

Stay for 3 nights. The front desk staff are definitely the highlight of this hotel—friendly, energetic, and incredibly patient in explaining every detail. Even though the facilities may not be five-star level, the service alone makes it absolutely worth staying. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the central station, with a tram stop right across the street that goes directly to the museum district. Breakfast was also great, though it would be even better if the omelette and drinks menu were placed on the table for first-time guests to order more easily. Overall, this hotel truly added extra joy to our trip!

Update: First, all of the staff I encountered are exceptional, and it feels like they actually care and are empowered to help guests. They are the best part of the hotel. They helped resolve the issues we were having. Also, I find the beds are quite comfortable and the location cannot be beat. That being said, it feels like there is a mismatch on what the hotel owners want to spend on materials/renovation and what they think it is worth and the marketing behind it. I’m sorry, but it is not a luxury hotel. It falls in that 4 to 4.5 star “fast fashion” hotel category that has popped up in the last several years. I can recommend it now with a few caveats. If you are a light sleeper, you should probably spend more for hotel that has invested in serious sound proofed windows. The staff can move you to a new room, but they are limited by the building itself. I would return if I could be in the room we were moved to. (And they really should invest in a deep clean of the bathrooms) Original: Arrived at 2:55 when check in is at 3. Didn’t get a room until 6:10. Totally unacceptable. Got one free breakfast at an hour late (I don’t eat breakfast) and at hour 2 received a drink voucher for the bar that they were hesitant to provide until being pushed. Get to the room and it is right by the elevator, which you can hear ding, and a great view of the street and tram. Perfect if you want to hear the tram thundering by and its bell every 2 minutes! The bathroom grout is disgusting as you can see by the pictures and the sink stopper broken. Bath mat has some sort of gross stain. Paint is a mess. We are supposed to be moved to a quieter room tomorrow. They can’t tonight because they are full from the Viking cruise that puts people here. Side note, I don’t have a problem with old people, but if you do, there are a LOT and that’s the vibe you’ll be encountering, which is at odds with the marketing I’ve seen. Will not be staying again and certainly do not recommend. Staff is friendly, but this is not even close to “the avant garde of lifestyle luxury” (IHG quote for Kimpton), which is what I thought I was booking.
