This is a beautiful ‘new’ hotel recycled from an old assurance company building. They have successfully maintained many period features whilst also creating a luxury feel. We stayed here the night before flying from Manchester and it worked out much cheaper than staying at a bland, generic airport hotel. The staff were approachable and efficient and the breakfast buffet was plentiful, served in the magnificent dining room. The hotel is large and feels very spacious due to high ceilings and large rooms. Our room was great with all you expect from a four-star hotel - robe and slippers, all the toiletries, hairdryer etc. I can’t say much about the view but we did have a cheaper mid-week deal so had an interior view. If you are visiting Manchester, the hotel is perfectly placed - right across from Oxford Road station, next door to the Palace Theatre, across from Gorilla and Ritz venues, just a short stroll to the centre and Northern Quarter etc. Just one issue that interfered with our sleep was the air conditioner which was noisy all night and there seemed to be no way of switching it off - we tried everything but it kept coming back on! But that was the only negative. All in all a fantastic place for a short break.

What an amazing hotel. I would have to say it's the best hotel I have stayed in. The room was amazing and spotless. Huge ceilings and curtains so big it made me feel like a hobbit. The staff were amazing and the reception was beautiful. It's right near Oxford Street railway station so easy for public transport.

Stunning hotel with a lovely breakfast and 'social hour' which is a great idea. Excellent service from Mina and Sabrina, and the front of house and breakfast staff. Unfortunately bar team were less than friendly especially in the evening when they wanted to close - disappointing and polar opposite to the service from other teams in the hotel. Ideal location.

An incredible experience. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The hotel offers everything a customer could wish for. The entire aura of the hotel decor is done perfectly and the service is amazing. When returning the card, when the gentleman saw that I had a long journey home, he offered me a drink for the journey but my heart was stolen most by Lana Banana. A woman with a wonderful heart and appearance. Lana Banana was in the restaurant when I went down for breakfast. She did everything so that I had everything served at the table, a nice conversation and at the end a gift for the journey in the form of croissants.
