I couldn’t say enough about how amazing the hotel was. I’d particularly want to highlight the experience we’ve received from the entire team at Kimpton Banneker. From the moment of checking in, everyone was so friendly and accommodating, especially with two wild young kids. I want to give a special shout out to Gigi and Helen, they both went above and beyond to make our trip memorable, especially for our 6 year old boy who was celebrating his birthday. I’d like to say the kids’ fondest memory of the trip was meeting them! Can’t wait to visit DC again and stay at this lovely hotel.

Our room and the hotel were very clean. The room had nice decor and we were pleased with the amenities. Complimentary breakfast was included in our one-night stay. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for ride share. Shout out to Antonio and Tiffany at the front desk. They were very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area and getting around. An overall great vibe. We will definitely be coming back!

Probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at! The location is perfect—just steps away from the White House, the National Mall, and great shopping (Whole Foods and Starbucks are just a few minutes away). The rooms are incredibly spacious, spotless, and super comfortable. The hotel is quiet. The staff gave us such a warm welcome—truly pet friendly, too! Complimentary tea and coffee are available in the mornings, and there's a free drink offered in the late afternoon. We also had an excellent dinner at the on-site restaurant, Le Sel.

Not worthy of the Kimpton brand. Noisy A/C, lots of street noise all night from road side and starting at 5:30am with trucks backing in; bed bugs are rampant and there is no mattress cover so it’s just a thin sheet between you and the sweat and grime of previous guests and their dogs; bathrooms, while nice have blackened stains in the shower grout (maybe mold); there are no snacks or drinks or vending, but they do sell over priced bottles of coke or sprite and small bags of potato chips from behind the desk like it’s a cheap swimming pool for kids; and then there’s the $25 a day plus tax hidden “amenities fee.” Don’t be fooled. The staff is kind, but you could spend $25-$50 more a night and stay someplace that pays attention to details.
