Jack & Newell Holiday Apartments

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apt. So much room, clean and spacious. Great view of the water on the balcony and from the rooms. Very central to the shops, esplanade, casino, and train station. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend!!

The location was absolutely wonderful. We were within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit. The Reef Terminal was just a 7-minute walk away, even with children, and the shopping centre, train station, and night market were also conveniently nearby. There were plenty of food options around — we especially enjoyed breakfast at Wharf One and had a lovely dinner at Hemingway Brewery. The 3-bedroom apartment was very spacious and perfect for our family of six, with plenty of room for everyone to relax. Having two car spaces allocated to our apartment was also a nice bonus. One thing to note: guests are required to separate trash and take out the general waste via a chute outside the apartment, while recyclables need to be disposed of at a bin downstairs. We were a little surprised by this, as we’re used to just separating items and having cleaners handle the rest. Another requirement was to wash, dry, and put away all dishes before checkout. Because of this, we chose not to cook breakfast on our last day, as we wouldn't have had time to dry everything. In most places, simply running the dishwasher before leaving has been acceptable. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the apartment, especially for families. Just be mindful of the checkout procedures if you're used to a more relaxed process. Also, bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. There were loud partying noises from the wharf the first night we stayed. The master bedroom facing the wharf can get noisy. The other 2 bedrooms were quieter thankfully.

5 star all the way from the first phone call to book our apartment. Jodie’s customer service could not be faulted. We booked for a 7 day stay. Room was spotless and facilities were fantastic. The view from our balcony was just breathtaking. Pool is very clean and the gym is very well equipped. All the staff have helped to make our stay unforgettable. Cannot wait to re book for another stay next year.

Helpful friendly booking process via emails. Easy check-in, wonderful spacious clean apartment, we stayed in 701 and loved everything about it. Well appointed kitchen, lots of utensils and ice and water already in the freezer and fridge when we arrived - much appreciated. Compendium was very thorough and informative. Three split system air cons to keep the apartment cool. Location is fantastic, a 5 min walk to pier restaurants and bars, casino is 2 doors away. View of the inlet from the balcony is gorgeous. Jodie was especially helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and the gent on staff was very forgiving when we locked ourselves out once. The other gent on staff was also very polite and kind. There is some noise from the street and neighbouring apartment blocks so if you are sensitive to noise bring some earplugs. There is also a bell tower somewhere that chimes on the hour, but it's not intrusive. We hope to stay there again the first chance we get!!
