My wife and I booked a weekend away at the InterContinental, and overall had a great experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes from a tram stop on Collins Street, with easy access to shopping areas and the train station. While the central location is a big plus, it does mean that the rooms don’t have much of a city or street view—they face inward, overlooking the restaurant area below, and other rooms. That said, the service more than made up for it. A special shoutout to Arron at the front desk—he was amazing! Very helpful, patient, and accommodating with all our requests. We also had the pleasure of meeting Angela, the Sales Director, at the Club Lounge. She made us feel incredibly welcome and at home, which added a really personal touch to our stay. All in all, a very enjoyable weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend for the excellent service and great location. Althea & Jude

One of our favourite hotels in Melbourne. Stayed here on multiple occasions. There was a problem with our room on the first night and they upgraded us to a suite. We stayed for four nights. Excellent service and attention from all staff especially Aaron from the front desk. Location is central and it’s a lovely building. Highly recommended and will come back.

Everything almost okay! It is a wonderful place to stay, full of history. Nevertheless, I hope next time they assign me a room with no paper walls for I was able to listen to every single conversation of my neighbors. This is ridiculous at a 5-star hotel. I wanna thank Jason, the concierge man, Maria, the receptionist in charge, and Andrea the sweet Colombian waitress at the breakfast room for their attentive behavior and their truly caring. Noise coming from the inside of other rooms was a downer though.

Just arrived at my room , pulled back bed sheets and body fluids stains! And the mattress stained , they try to wipe off by offering complementary drink at club bar - they sell this hotel on website high end - not! and I booked balcony room - but doors locked - so put that on website- I thought I could have fresh air ! Just moved to second room ! Guess ! Another room with stained bed !
