A nice hotel, makes a great first impression with wonderful staff greeting you and checking you in. They were especially good to check us in at 0930 too. Rooms are a really good size, with good sized bathroom and separate dressing room, great room for us with 2 children staying in the room. Beds very comfortable and excellent air conditioning. There are some signs of age in places, like the shower is a dated design, but nice power and hot. Rooftop pool is small, but enough to cool off, shame it is in a courtyard so no view or atmosphere. Good sized gym, with more than the basics, so no complaints there at all. Balcony is nice to have, but the seal on the door isn’t great and you do get some outside noise, but certainly nothing of concern. Then, breakfast, well that is one of the best I’ve had in a hotel for a long time. First class, high quality ingredients make, with excellent service makes all the difference. It isn’t busy and is table service, with a bigger option including a chef making omelets and things but with high quality ingredients. None of the processed stuff many chain hotels use. Then there is fresh strawberry, raspberry’s blackberries etc. this is like a 5 star for quality. All is served with great tasting coffee, so a brilliant start to the day.

My stay at this hotel was wonderful overall. The property was clean, comfortable, and the staff I encountered during my stay were welcoming and helpful. Everything from check-in to the amenities made for a marvelous experience. The only issue I experienced was at checkout. The staff member assisting us was quite standoffish she didn’t greet us or make eye contact, and simply said “check out.” I even had to ask where to return the key cards. It was disappointing, especially as this was the final impression after such an excellent stay. I would still recommend this hotel and plan to return, but I hope management addresses this to ensure consistency in the guest experience.

The hotel was great. The staff when I checked in was amazing. However upon waking up the next day I see that I was charged 3 times. Once for the room. Once for the safety deposit hold and then charged for the room again! I went to the desk where the woman told me she doesn’t know why the night auditor ran the payment again, after going around in circles she asked the supervisor. His remark was “it will be returned in 6-7 business days. I had no choice but to accept it. Then I was charged again! And this time I don’t know what it was for as it was nowhere on my bill until after check out. Because of this my bank account went in to overdraft and I ended up with fees from my bank. I understand mistakes happen but please don’t lie to your guests. Obviously we are traveling so I was nervous the whole 9 hour drive home that my account would get hit again. I raved about staying here and even told my husband I would come back. Unfortunately due to this issue I have marked it off my list of favorite hotels.

I stayed at the hotel for my birthday/wedding anniversary with my husband and we had a lovely week in New Orleans. The hotel was clean and room service was timely. What unfortunately doesn't work for us was the temperature in the shower. It never seemed to get hot enough, so the water was very lukewarm. There's at least 2 restaurants in the hotel that made variety for dinner amazing! The mocktails at Pete's was amazing and the staff was very accommodating. When we weren't out in the french quarters we rested up in our room.The television was a bit outdated, it was a non-smart flat screen television, so watching anything that needed streaming or YouTube was out of the question. Having to watch cable television was very jarring. I appreciate all the staff and their attentiveness to all guests.
