Most of the hotels in Nola have gone in steady decline-But not the Intercontinental! It is definitely a true four star property that lives up to its title. Kudos to the ownership /management and all staff of this hotel who maintain this flagship property. The hotel is extremely well-maintained and exceeds cleanliness standards in all public areas as well as the guest rooms. Parking is very easy and is no higher priced than other hotels. The location is in the middle of the quietness of the CBD, yet close enough to the action of this exotic city. All of the staff is extremely hospitable, well-trained, and go out of their way to provide you with excellent hospitable service. They rarely say the word no or cannot. They have a yes, and can do attitude. The bedding in the rooms as well as the towels and amenities are all high-quality. Everything works well, including the Wi-Fi. Yes they can use a few modern charging outlets, but this is nothing that can’t be fixed by bringing your own charger to plug into a basic electrical outlet. The carpet is spotless and the tile floor in half of the room is extremely spotless, which I find rare in hotels these days. The bathroom shower has the strongest water pressure of any hotel and provides a rain shower as well as a handheld shower option. Bath And lotion products are top quality. Everything is well stocked. The air conditioning works extremely well, another uncommon feature at larger hotels using an HVAC system. It keeps up with the 100° temperatures with no problem. The rooftop pool, although not huge, is very relaxing, clean and I love that there are plenty of towels poolside which is maintained by a poolside attendant. The gym is also top quality. Food and beverage options are wonderful and normally priced for a four-star hotel. As a person who travels often, It is very rare that I can say I had no complaints whatsoever! It was a completely perfect stay and even though I am a Hilton Diamond member, Intercontinental has won my business back. Again, Job well done to the management and staff as well as ownership of this property. You are truly one of the best properties in the city. Take my advice and stay at this hotel, and simply get an Uber to get you to and from the French Quarter if you don’t feel like walking it. There is no hotel in the French Quarter that can meet up to the standards of this property.

Me and my husband visited this hotel for our anniversary trip and it was impeccable we enjoyed every thing the hotel the location is perfect to everything bourbon street loved it we will be back next year ❤️🥰🥰✨🤞🤞

We were assigned to this hotel, because we attended a large scale event. The beds were very comfortable and I felt it was pretty quiet considering it's downtown location. We could hear the trolley, but that didn't bother us. The St. Charles Streetcar stop is just steps away from the hotel and many things are a walkable distance. I was disappointed that the rooms were not equipped with a fridge or microwave. The space for a mini-bar would be better utilized as a fridge. We didn't utilize breakfast services, because of the cost. Rooftop pool was clean, but small. The stairs were for 'emergency use' only -- making the wait for the elevator a little long at times. Overall, a comfortable place to sleep, but lacked some amenities I typically search out in a hotel.

The hotel is decent but a kind of a SCAM. I stg you have to pay extra for everything. No fridge unless you pay 5x retail to use the one that’s stocked full in your room. No microwave at all. Asked the lady at the desk; she was decently rude about it. Just seems too expensive to not get basic shit like a fridge for my $30 leftovers.
