Had a short spell in this beautiful property in Hanoi after heading back from Halong Bay. The overall facility has a resort feeling rather than a hotel feeling and it was quite relaxing for staying and resting here amidst the bustling city center outside. We got an overwater residence suite overlooking a vast and tranquil West Lake which was very beautiful. The room although a bit dated but still functioning very well while the only let down was that there were so many insects outside of the room balconies so we couldn’t spend much time to enjoy there. Another thing worth to mention is the food quality in the Club especially at the breakfast in which we found it is appetizing and a good starting of the day.

I get to travel quite a bit and have stayed in many different hotels in many different countries. This hotel is one of the best ones we have stayed in - mostly because of the amazing customer service. The shining star was the Duty Manager, Ngoc Nguyen. We didn’t know she was the manager. We had a question about exchanging currency, which led to her helping us with many other things. She was very friendly and kind and offered great suggestions on where to go, what to do and cultural considerations too. Then we shared it was our anniversary, while we were out for the day, she arranged a special treat and lovely card that was in our room when we returned. Whoever is the GM, give Ngoc a raise or bonus. She is the epitome of excellent customer service. The entire staff from bellhop, to cleaning staff and restaurant staff were all very friendly and provided great service. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Shower pressure also very good.

I stayed at the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake with a group of 16 people We were disappointed in our initial hotel plans and contacted Thui at the reception desk, who quickly and efficiently navigated the 1-week reservation for each of the rooms, some needing special considerations. The rooms were great, no complaints from anyone, and the attentive service both in the dining area and poolside was just what made the trip to Hanoi so pleasant. Our group had a full itinerary, so it wasn't important for us to be "in the thick of things" in Hanoi, since when we returned from a full day, we were just as happy to hangout at the hotel . Regardless, it's just a short drive to where all the action is, and it's super easy to call a vehicle. (I think you can even walk)

My stay at InterContinental Hanoi Westlake by IHG was truly delightful. Perfectly situated on the serene West Lake, the property offers uninterrupted views of the water, most breathtaking at sunset. The rooms and facilities are immaculately maintained, combining comfort with thoughtful detail. What made the experience truly remarkable was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, creating an atmosphere of care throughout my stay. It is rare to find such a perfect harmony of setting, service, and comfort. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.
